65 after 4 is not that bad. You hope for 60 after 4.
I am a little higher, or in this case lower at something in the 40's, so that an 8-9inn game is doable. Not that we see that often with this team.

I am a little higher, or in this case lower at something in the 40's, so that an 8-9inn game is doable. Not that we see that often with this team.
The 15-pitch per inning expectation comes from the days when pitchers actually threw complete games (and would go 130 or so pitches).

If a pitcher averages 8-9 pitches an inning... well, I don’t know. That just doesn’t happen.
