Have to wonder if anyone in that clubhouse has the guts to stand up and say anything, or they just continue with their feeble ways headed nowhere. At least back in the day, someone would flip the postgame spread. Now, you can't hurt anyone's feelings.

The way it's going, the table would land on someone's foot and he'd be out for the whole year.

With this feeble lineup, no one would have the power to flip the table anyway. Well, forget about that.

Complete game, four hit shutout by a nobody. Kershaw I understand, but Vance Worley?!?!?

Giants now 15-37 when, well, you know.

Only two come from behind wins since June 9.

Just got in and read the thread, and I'm at a loss for words, almost. Umm, but those three wins in Philly sure felt good, and gave us reason to hope for a competitive season.

I am actually seriously disappointed Worley did not get a no-no tonight. This team DESERVES to be no-hit by a no-name pitcher.

I am never a fan of the boo-birds, but seriously, this team needs to feel it. They are too happy-go-lucky. They need to feel that they need to do something to earn the love and adoration that the fan base heaps on them.

The thing that pissed me off most this season? When Romo was brought in in the eight inning and proceeded to get smacked around (as per the norm) and he was laughing his ass off walking off the mound. It even looked like Boch was cracking a smile.

I am sure they care, but they sure dont look like they care.

2 XBH in the last SIX games for the Lilliputs.

Pitches tonight: Giants 143, Pirates 86 through 8

The time has long passed for Meulens to be re-assigned. He may be a nice guy, and it may not even be his fault. Doesn't matter. We need a change in leadership, and we need to bring in someone with some fire.

Will Clark? Robby Thompson? Barry Bonds? Somebody from the college ranks?

I'll take the job for half of what Meulens is making. I promise to kick ass and take names. And my pen is just about out of ink.

I get that every team goes through slumps, but it seems like every season the Giants' hitters slump for 2-3 months at a time. And I don't see hitters becoming better or more consistent under his leadership. I belive every starter and most reserves are hitting below their career averages. Every. One. How is that development? And just for something to do to shake these guys up.

Something has to be done. We need a 2B that can hit, and we need a coach who can remotivate these guys to get their hitting shoes on again. These last 5 games, at this time, goes beyond a "slump" or a statistical quirk. There is a systemic issue - the players have given up. This goes to leadership - but it's hard to blame Bochy given his track record. But with Meulens, hitting has never really been why we've won. Meulens needs a new job. If no one else in the organization wants to tell him that, I'm offering my services at a low introductory price.

For me this is the core of the issue. But it reaches very deep. Having been a working adult for almost 50 years I've been in many different management roles. When things are at this level (bad) you need to send a message to the 'team'. In most cases they are comfortable with management and don't really see issues or change what they are doing. It's just a slump. As Mays-Fan stated ... this is a systemic issue. I almost see a combination of given up and don't really care. If the ship can't be righted and we continue to sink I personally feel that the changes will be global. I think Bochy will be gone. It's not a matter of him being a good or bad manager. It's a matter of change. I think they will have to bring someone in who doesn't have an investment in the current personnel. I think they will clean house. I don't see an injury or two being the fundamental 'evil' here. It definately contributed but it is not at the core of the issue. It's a combination of leadership and player attitudes. Losing breeds this. I don't know why but it just seems to suck the life and the drive from a team. It's not just baseball either. I've seen this quite a few times in the work environment and it's usually followed by a personnel purge .... I think we may be in for a real wild ride these next few months if things continue as they are ....

Losing? Yeah plenty lately, still a playoff quality record this year. The book is still being written as Marty Lurie would say.
Bam Bam would be a great one to fire, but Bochy ain't going anywhere I guarantee you.

As fans all we can do is call for people's heads. But on the field they go out there and try to win each day. Tough stretch lately. I'd still rather be rooting for this team, right now, than at least 18 other teams.

They may fall short but that doesn't mean they aren't still in the mix. They will make the playoffs this year, or fall short by a couple of games at most.

If you are calling for change at the top and people 'not invested in current personnel' you are calling for a tear down and rebuild. As I've said before I don't think the situation is yet so dire that we have to go full Astros yet. Someday it will be, but my opinion is not yet.

No way in Hell is Bochy gone. The first question you ask when you replace a manager is "Will the new guy be better than the current guy?" The quick and easy answer to that is "No."

Bochy is the best in the game right now, bar none. Maybe he needs to be brought to task by the FO. I am OK with that. Maybe he and Sabes need to not be so buddy-buddy. Maybe they need to hire someone else to join into the brain-trust who no one agrees with, just to bring some new ideas. Maybe the scouting department needs to be looked at.

We all say Tidrow and Evans are geniuses, but REALLY what have they done outside of top-10 picks? Belt is now in his 4th year, but still living on potential. ToJo looks to be a flop. Alderson was a flop. Noonan was a flop. Stratton was a flop. Brown looks to be a flop. Panik MAY be OK. Arroyo looks good, but he is still a LONG way away.

Off the top of my head : Cain, Belt, Crawford, Schierholtz, B Wilson, Romo, Sandoval (and a bunch of 'pen arms).

Off the top of my head : Cain, Belt, Crawford, Schierholtz, B Wilson, Romo, Sandoval (and a bunch of 'pen arms).

Cain was 2004.

Belt I already addressed.

Craw is a .240 hitter who, by the numbers is a below average fielder (granted, fielding metrics are FAR from being accepted yet). I am almost ready to throw the towel in on him and open the job up to competition from EA and Duffy next spring.

Nate: A #4 OF, in the second round. Good value, but who cares?

Weez: 2005

Romo: 2006

Panda: 1 international signing in how many years? Where is Sosa? Where is AnVil? Where is Peguero? Where is RafRod? Javier? Cabrera?

Sabean is able to trade a lot of these guys away and get good pieces (Alderson, ToJo, Culberson) but when they continue to bomb out as players (except the cant-miss picks in the top 10, which they did VERY well in not whiffing on any of them), they really have not had any help from the system. Even as far as bench help goes, we have only gotten a moderate assistance (Perez, Ishikawa, Panik, Sanchez).
