Yep. But if we ever get back to fullsquad it'll be the same guys that were playing in April and May. Still a lot of time left to turn it. Might not, but it's not exactly insurmountable to be 2 games back in late July.

Well, you keep saying that. At least I need to hear it.

Can't blame all this on injuries, this team just seems to have no life, no fight in them in any phase right now.

Heard Posey the other day talking about good hitters looking for their one good pitch. Other teams are waiting for the Giant pitchers to make a mistake, Giant hitters are whiffing on mistakes. It has become contagious.

Panda trying to lay down a drag bunt with nobody on and no outs. I have officially seen everything.

This is what desperation looks like.

Kinda want to get no-hit today. Just to get some attention.

No doubt. And maybe they don't turn it around. I'm just saying teams do, and have done so. We may as well. Same team as April and May. Not like they haven't ever hit before.

Giants at AT&T are a cure for insomnia. After having a 22-9 home record, they're about to go 6-20. Can't play that awful at home and expect to contend.

Yep, they gotta play better at home or it ain't happening.

Giants either need to buy a leadoff hitter, a second baseman, and a closer or be realistic and start selling. Morris, Blanco, Crawford, Vogelsong, Hudson, Pablo, and a few relievers should all be available for trade.

So could we once, when healthy. Still lots of time.

They will not stay withing striking range of LA with the type of pitching from Bumgarner tonight. With the awful offense at home, the pitching needs to keep them in games.

Well yeah, I'm assuming they don't give up 5 runs in the first 2 innings every game. If they do of course they are done.

It has gotten to the point now where you just know things are going to go wrong at home. They can do little right at AT&T.

Why do they need a closer?

And no it's not time for a teardown. Even if they fall short this year I don't think they have to go full Astros just yet.

Lately, yes. Lots of time to turn it.

Pitches per at bat

Bucs (Giants)

1 - 0 (0)

2 - 2 both sac flies (1)

3 - 3 (0)

4 - 2 (3)

5 - 4 (1)

6 - 2 (0)

7+ - 3 (1)

I guess Bam Bam really doesn't like patience in his hitters. If he does, he sure has a funny way of getting his point across.

Lately, yes. Lots of time to turn it.

Assuming they lose tonight, they will be 15-28 in the last 43 games since June 9. It's not just the hitting at home that's the problem. Their overall game has been sloppy for a quarter of the season now.

At least the umpire is consistent. Those pitches are balls for Bum, and strikes for Worley. I think Noggin has a legit beef. But the hitters (and pitcher) have to deal with what is, not what they'd like it to be.

Read this from Pavlovic on Hacktor-

He went outside and watched the team take BP, but he doesn’t know when he’ll be back on the field.

I swear to you, I read it as:

He went outside and watched the team FAKE BP, but he doesn’t know when he’ll be back on the field.

No one I mentioned has a long term deal and will need to be replaced shortly anyway. Might as well get some good prospects for people who might not even be on the team next season.

Boston has the right idea. It might take guts to realize the ship is sinking, but when you realize it early you can build a raft that will float to the next boat instead of jumping overboard at the last second.

Giants ship is quickly sinking and has been for a month.
