Cincinnati is putting on a hitting clinic, while the Giants have their heads up their asses. Gas can Kontos warming up.

I don't think Timmy comes back for the Giants unless the giants over pay like a Zito like contract. I think they may need to move on and unfortunately they have drafted bad and they have no one in the near future to come up and help either with pitching or HA HA HA Hitting.

Sellout crowd must be enjoying another solid performance. Lot of disposable income disposed of tonight.

I like Blanco as a 3rd or 4th outfielder. I dislike him a great deal as a leadoff hitter. Our former "ace" gives up three unfortunate runs in the 1st due to fielding "errors" by Blanco and Towers.

So Blanco strolls up to the plate, and grounds out on the 2nd pitch he sees. That is NOT how to get it done as a leadoff guy. Ah, he learned his lesson, and saw all of three pitches in his next at bat.

On the other hand, the Giants appear to be making Arroyo throw some pitches. They won't hit any of them, of course, but at least they haven't had a five pitch inning yet. But the evening is still young.

Didn't this team win a couple of World Series recently? This team looks like a corpse than a major league team.

Face it fellas, we svck. 2014 can't come fast enough. I am hoping there is a run in this team yet this season, but it will be about three games, and then crash.

Totally.

When was the last time they developed a starting-level player, let alone an all-star or better?

Sabean had better be fired this off-season. This team will never win anything with that empty suit at the helm.

It's just amazing the difference of offenses between the Giants and Reds. The Reds spit on so many close pitches and waited for the perfect pitch, Tim didn't make many mistakes that inning, but the Reds capitalized on the one he did make.

Jay Bruce for example didn't swing at a single pitch and took a walk gratefully. And he's not the only guy that would do that, Votto, Choo etc. Besides Posey, I don't think a single guy in the Giants lineup that would do that.

Exactly this.

And they play fundamental baseball. Leadoff double. Already a RISP. So the next batter bunts for the sac bunt, but gets on base. Bochy adamantly refuses to do this as a rule.

When the other team scores first, the Giants are a miserable 15-37 (.288)

Well, make that 15-38 (.283) This one is over.

And yeah, the Dogs winning 14-5 against a team that absolutely killed us makes this a lot easier to take.

Full pantshattery mode. Why is Kontos still pitching? He hasn't gotten anyone out since March.

His ERA with the bases loaded is 1.64

His ERA with runners on is 9.00, and those are his OWN runners, much less the runners he inherits.

Gonna be a long rest of the summer. When do the 49ers start?

So while Lincecum exploded even more, I spent about 30 minutes rescuing a kitten in a tree. I have done more than the Giants tonight

Lincecum has pitched very well until now so I won't go crazy over that. Although tonight he turned it into a HR Derby. Just ranted about the offense tonight instead (aside from Posey)

The only ones I can think of off the top of my head is

Totally.

Will Clark (High 1st Round) Matt Williams (High 1st) Robby Thompson(2nd I think).............................>>>>>>
Then Pablo Sandoval (later pick) Posey (High 1st) and he would have been gone but some before us thought he would be difficult to sign............

That is all I can think of that would be above average as hitters for their position in the last 30 or so years not a great result from drafting by the Giants.

They have picked much better with pitchers, but pitchers for the most part, even if they are above average, have shorter life spans in the Majors (injuries).

I don't mind Sabean when he isn't signing a Zito, Dave Roberts or Aaron Rowand But something needs to change in the drafting and development of position players.

Okay, this is getting on my nerves.

Pablo wasn't drafted, he was signed as a FA.

But what is the point of drafting better hitters that won NOTHING than drafting better pitchers that won TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS?
