So Cain stopped his bleeding. Panda is coming around - he is looking more conditioned, more disciplined at BOTH plates. Even Frenchy is contributing - the bases-loaded walk was huge. Nice catch by Towers, and by Pence. I'm seeing some sparks.

A win behind Bum, and Sabes might start making some calls.

Huh? Our roster does not expand for a DH. AE you just referring to the possibility of a roster move between games?

I read that MLB is allowing both clubs to add a 26th player for the double header. Will try and find a link.

— The Giants and Cincinnati Reds get to add a 26th player for Tuesday’s doubleheader at AT&T Park and the Giants will add a starter from Triple-A Fresno. Bochy said Mike Kickham, Eric Surkamp and Yusmeiro Petit are options. Petit is not on the 40-man roster and would be a long shot. Surkamp has a 2.81 ERA in three starts for the Grizzlies as he continues to recover from last summer’s Tommy John surgery. That’s the interesting name there — Bochy has long maintained that Surkamp was only really a possibility in September, but the rainout must have changed things.

I have never heard of rosters getting expanded for DHs before. Why would they do that?
