Moore with the hitless first, AND he shows some grit by stranding the juice. (My best Krukow impression, there)

a if the batter is tagged out, does that qualify as a force out?

I think it's just 1 unassisted
There was never even a glance at home to see if the runner got there first. Also there was a similar play earlier this week with a 3-2 count roller to the pitcher and the play took a bit to finish, and no thought to the guy on 3rd scoring or not. I figured it must count, timing-wise, as a forceout.

Javy really has a job waiting for him in the booth. Hopefully with the Giants full-time at some point.

He is REALLY good.

JA is fun, but he just acts too much like a fan. No refinement to his "game" at all. Navy may be a bit dull, but he is crisp.

With Kruk as a part-timer, and Flem as a near-part-timer, there is definitely room for another on the team, and I think Javy deserves it.

I like that. I don't need my baseball announcers to sound like my radio-show hosts.

Jesus Moore is just total garbage.

No way to predict it either. That's baseball.

Maybe today is the day we finally get no hit. Can't win 5 in a row, that's impossible.

The Giants are squaring up, they just are all badly placed.

Moore's season WHIP = 1.61

Kuhl's season WHIP = 1.57

Which one has given up no hits?

On another note, just noticed the DSL Giants lost today, 9-8, but they scored 8 runs and had only 3 hits! That's efficiency!

Kuhl has yet to record an out in the 6th inning this year.

Chances he goes goes AT LEAST 7 today?

Note to self...

Don't listen to the broadcast guys.

2 of his first 3 starts this season had him going at least 6. But he hasn't done it since...

By the way the juiced ball turned that long flyball from Slater into a HR

What did the study find? And extra 50 feet on the average fly ball?

And the study used actual, game-used balls.

Amazing.

Depends on the angle and stuff. I think they calculated it would add something like 15-50 feet to the distance depending...

The study I heard about included purchasing a bunch of game-used balls from pre-ASB-2015 and a bunch from post-ASB-2015. Then they put the balls into a pitching machine and had a batting bachine hit them. They measured the distance of each hit and found that the average was something like 48 ft farther for the post balls than the pre balls.

I am trying to find that study now to get some of the other variables (were all the balls foul balls, or HRs?, was there any damage to balls? Were some acquired balls eliminated for any reason? How many of each batch were used? Etc...)
