Rough one last night. When one of your aces pitches that well, you expect to get the win. At this point, of course, I still believe in winning the series, but I wouldn't be too upset with 1-2. Nobody appreciates the wrong end of a sweep against the biggest rival. By August, I think the entire NL West will be playing .500 ball. Talk about a cluster-F.

Whiteside's fault!

The second half is going to be very interesting. IMHO I think both of the WCs will come from the central division. I think that both PITT and CINN hold their positions. That means we need to take the division. I still think the one that will be the most trouble is the D-Backs. I think they have both the pitching and the offense to stay in the race till the end. I still feel that both COL and SD will fold as the summer wears on.
I sure hope this RISP drought turns around pretty damn quick. At one point we had 7 hits and 4 walks and 1freaking run to show for it. Also don't ubnderstand what the hell has happened to our defense. Besides not hitting with RISP we seem to be giving the other team extra outs and they always seem to come back and bite us. Really never expected this season to be a cakewalk but damn it is frustrating. Haven't thrown anything yet. been yelling at the TV a bit though .....

The loss last night is squarely on three people:

1. Gerald -- you CANNOT FP2OM. Just can't.
2. Stamos -- you CANNOT GIDP with the sacks full. Just can't.
3. Cranium -- Bum was gassed in the 7th, horrible decision to keep him in the game.

Sofa king angry about that one.

I must be too early for the thread for today. Still, I thought this was worth noting here.

Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp had just two hits and struck out six times during his three-game rehab stint with Triple-A Albuquerque. But that apparently doesn’t bother the Los Angeles decision-makers.
According to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com, Kemp has been [ame=""]activated from the disabled list[/ame] and is in the Dodgers’ starting lineup on Tuesday night against the rival Giants. He’ll bat fifth and start in center. Yasiel Puig is playing left field and Andre Ethier is in right.

Saw that Ethier was in center last night. That's a scary thought, for Dodger fans, as he has played less than 20 games there in his career!

Scary, yes. More upsetting though, that they keep putting him in the lineup at all. I wanted him traded, BADLY.
