Some changes. I think the Lions will use Jones between DT/DE as TP said. I think they keep an extra WR. I see carey getting cut as Wendling going IR with Johnson getting the 4th safety position. I could also see the extra spot going to Carey instead of Durham as Schwartz has always liked him some extra safeties. And I still can't find a spot for Spivey!

I am not under the influence of drugs or alcohol as I type this. But, since we are putrid at LB I suggest we bring in Aaron Curry for a look. Now before everyone thinks I've gone even further off the deep end I would like to point out that I was firmly in the Stafford camp on draft day and wanted nothing to do with a LB. there is nothing to lose taking a look at him other than a plane ticket. Maybe our coaching staff can get something out of him, maybe it's a confidence issue, I don't know but we are so bad IMO at that spot I can't see how that could hurt us.

So go ahead and let me have it but at one point he was considered a "can't miss" prospect. Well, he missed alright, but his athletic talent is undeniable and our cupboard is bare at LB. The last troubled player I advocated we bring in was Richie Incognito, which was not well received. He's gone on to make the pro bowl and Stephen Peterman got cut by the Jets. What do we have to lose by taking a look?

I think Curry has been identified as a locker room problem. Interview on XM radio. You can survive that if they have great talent but Curry has not shown that much talent.

In general it's not a bad idea trying to upgrade the LB position but IMO if the Raiders pass on a guy their has to be an issue.

The best battle IMO is the Tight End position. Got to cut somewhere else to keep 4 TEs. Pettigrew, Scheffler, Fauria, and Williams. Although Williams could start the season on the IR but that eaves Detroit without a blocking specialist.

Edwards is in the mix still. No way Burleson is- in fact I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make the team.

And why does Miller suck? He's been far better than expected out of an undrafted subdivision guy...

I was reading the news and they projected he could start the season IR. I have heard a few places he was battling an injury. Could be coaches speak to keep a guy around until another player is actually injured.

I can't imagine they'd burn that one use of that rule on a non-starter. Maybe they do, but seems like you'd want to save that for a more important player, imo...

Unless your MSU and the (specialist Pepper) he botched two in the 1st half tonight. Granted it's a different league, but I'm sure MSU could have had a better option.

I don't have anything against Mulhbach. It just seems a waste for a 53 man roster that one of the guys can't actually snap a ball, these are very talented athletes. But for some reason it takes a (specialist) to snap a ball.

Hell Suh can kick FGs or at least bank them off a crossbar.

I'm pretty sure Raiola could handle those duties leaving a open spot. Hell were in the shot gun most of the time anyway.

I think the problem with having a regular do it is that if he gets injured, you're fucked.

The logic against it makes sense, but I just think it's telling that all 32 teams always carry a long snapper.
