Of course, anything can happen today but after all the hype I think it will be kind of a boring game...and I'm ok with that.

You have to get close to a guy before you can cheap shot him. McIntyre's such a bad skater, even if he wanted to hurt a Flyer with a dirty play, he'd never be able to get close enough to one to do it.

I hear ya man, i have no idea how these two teams want to approach this game. Do they want to rest guys (sid, G) in case things get crazy? Do they want to beat down the other on the scoreboard to set the tone for the series? Do they want to just physically punish each other?

Who knows what will happen today...

When i get back from the game i do want a nice hatred filled thread to read through though... lol

McIntyre is absolutely useless. From what i have read and heard here in Pittsburgh is the Penguins don't want a war unless the Flyers want to play that way. I'm assuming McIntyre will only see the ice if something gets out of hand.

And i'm sure the league has instructed the officials to toss people at will. So i think it will be tame for the most part.

But God i hope i'm wrong...

You were right about that. Basically had the requisite Vitale fight and that was it.

Kind of glad to see Shelley and Mac just sit it out. I think they were both just called up as insurance, but neither coach wanted to be seen as the guy who escalated things before the series even started.

Schedule should be announced in a few minutes. Really hope it starts Wednesday, because every extra day to wait is going to be painful!
