What happened to the Flyers in the second period tonight is not uncommon with young teams. And remember, as good as they are, the Flyers are still just that, a young team.

Well Bryz was great. Goals werent his fault. We have the depth to et more than 1 goal, and should have. Not to mention we need more than 6 shots.

Like I said earlier, this was basically game four against the Pens all over again minus a couple slight differences.

The Flyers come out guns blazing and get the early lead. The Devils pounce on them for taking their foot off the gas. Bryz stands on his head for much of the game, but it's not enough. The lack of motivation by the Flyers offensively and on the forecheck trickles from even strength on through to their power play. The Devils capitalize and instead of having to work for long stretches in their own zone, they work for long stretches in the offensive zone and pepper Bryz until his defensive coverage collapses and he breaks down.

This just wasn't Flyers hockey tonight in the least bit. We'll see more of what we're used to in game three. The Flyers will not be intimidated on the road. 25-13-3 Best road record in the Nhl.

We saw the bad side of that tonight with a complete loss of focus for much of the game. The good side is that we're extremely resilient after major letdowns, so I expect a response in game three.

It's frustrating, Mav, but SF13 was pretty much right - assume it's a fluke, and move on. I'll add to that - have one more beer, and rep when I'm reloaded. Go Flyers!

20 shots on goal isn't going to get it done Flyers. Bryz kept them in the game. The rest of the team let him down for a change. Coburn breaking his stick on a clearing attempt that led to a goal didn't help matters. These sticks SUCK!!

That's what I'm thinking.

The question amongst Devils fans is do we play Kovy if he's not 100%? If he sits game 3, game 4 is not until Sunday. A week off could be the best bet for him.
