I read somewhere (or did I hear it on KNBR) that steroids can actually improve your eyesight. I can't remember ever seeing a guy who could wait so long before deciding to swing at a pitch. The only guy who comes close in my lifetime is Pujols.

As for feeling sorry...I'm a bit of a sentimental fool. The dude had a weird upbringing, the world loved him for a time, was disgraced, and now he's largely forgotten. But hey, he lived the good life, and I imagine he's loaded.

Anecdotally, it is claimed HGH can improve your eyesight. Although, the last time I checked, there was no clinical evidence to support this. I've not seen a source claim that anabolic steroids can improve eyesight. You'd think if that was true, we'd have known it long ago.
