Guys like him usually don't succeed as coaches. He was too damn good, and too cocky, to humble himself to work with the Manny Burrisses of the world.

I was thinking that too, the superduper stars rarely do. They are just so talented they find it hard to explain how to do what they do.

But Bonds comes across as pretty good at talking about hitting. Maybe a few more years and he'll be humble enough.
