I dont follow the minors all that closely but I never considered Bocock's potential to be anything special. That he made the majors at all was more right time-right place. IMO, he had no growth to stunt.

Saying "that's so gay" as a put-down, or "faggy unis" as a put-down is a negative comment directed at gays.

Sorry if people think it's PC, but I grew up in Calif in the 60s and 70s and have always been pissed off by the negative attitude towards gays. Every gay person I've ever known (well, every person I *knew* was gay) had been intelligent, articulate, and pretty damn nice to be around (both female and male). I had teachers in high school and at university who were outwardly gay and weren't ashamed to say so.

Read my original post. I never claimed it. It was the opposite; "being rushed" doesn't mean "is going to be great" was my point. They are two separate things.

OK, but I joke about everything, and I got no problem with gays. Anti Prop 8, donated, plenty of gay friends and coworkers. My kid's school headmaster is gay. Most of the ones I know use far worse terminology and are hilarious and ok with jokes.

I like 'Blazing Saddles' too. Is that a problem for you?
