I like what ive seen from Lyon so far and last night he had some great stats. Did he impress again?

I missed the game last night, but there appears to be a lot to talk about.

Above all else though, how about the shorthanded play and pass by Morin to Simmonds for the easy tap-in goal? He basically beats four players and the goalie all by himself, mostly via hustle.

Either way, I don't know if I've ever seen such a big defender step up and make such a high skill, offensive play with that many guys in his way. I won't rule anything out with this kid. He can be great.

This kid will eventually be a fan favorite imo. I'm really liking the youth on this team. As some of you said prior, I think we should have all 3 dmen stay with the big club and send McDonald to the minors.

I thought the 1st line looked good with G on the wing. Morin looks real good on the d-end and added a real nice move to set up Simmer. Sanheim looks like he gets more confident and better each game. Manning also had a good game. Some tough decisions coming up for Hexy.

The suspense is palpable here for the final roster decision. It has to be coming very soon. Idk how you can possibly tell Patrick he's going back to Brandon or any of Morin/Sanheim/Hagg that they are going back to the minors.

It boils down to this. We don't have a dozen forwards better than Patrick and we don't have six or even four defenders better than Morin, Sanheim and Hagg either.

It's tougher to say with Lindblom and Leier, but these guys probably still have more to offer than Weise or Read.

The grumblings from the beat think Lindblom will be the final forward cut with Lehtera and Read in the press box. I'm fine with that, except they expect the 3rd line to be Weiss-Filpula-Konecny. That line blows for Konecny. Why are you putting your most dynamic offensive player with 2 anchors? I really hope that doesn't last. Very worried that when it doesn't last, they'll blame konecny and scratch him. When in reality, Weiss and Filpula are just useless.

On defense they seem to think it's down to Sanheim vs Morin.
