Taylor Mays is likely to see snaps at linebacker in nickel and dime packages.

Thanks to a run of injuries at the position, the Bengals have just five linebackers heading into Sunday's game against the Bears. Mays spent last weekend at the team complex learning linebacking assignments. "It's the same thing as when a safety inserts into the box. Some of the run gap fits are a little different," Mays said. "I've been picking it up quick." The Bengals can't afford any injuries to their starting trio of James Harrison, Vontaze Burfict and Rey Maualuga.

Ndamukong Suh - DL - Lions

FOX's Jay Glazer reports Ndamukong Suh could be facing a $100,000 fine for his low block of Vikings C John Sullivan in Sunday's win.

That should read "block," as it was little more than a blatant cheap shot with the players well behind the action and Sullivan not paying attention. The fine likely wouldn't be so great if not for Suh's already terrible reputation, but it's the price he pays for continually going over the line.

Teams are afraid to add him to their locker room because of the friction it will cause in their respective locker rooms. Rhodes is a homosexual and the NFL obviously is not ready for that, but they make it seem as if it's not a huge issue:

This comes from Profootballtalk's Mike Florio, who was told by a source that "there's no buzz" surrounding Rhodes. Rhodes, 31, had a heckuva season with Arizona last season, starting 15 games and racking up 67 tackles, 11 pass breakups, and four interceptions while grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 4 safety. It's borderline criminal that he's not on an NFL roster.
