Despite the narrative these are the teams I believe that may draft a QB in the 1st.
-- Texans, Panthers, Skins, Vikings, Saints, Steelers. Skins could get a call to trade down

I would take out Texans and Panthers and add Broncos and Bucs.

Ok, I agree with adding Broncos. I think Bucs look to a veteran, it could be hard going from GOAT to rookie at QB and getting the team motivated if they lose out the gate.
Texans -- Dean, I'll agree with taking them out -- if -- you answer this truthfully --
Will you keep your job as Texans GM - if within 2 years, Davis Mills is your starter and he doesn't lead the team to the playoffs?
I'd personally want an upgrade

I don't think the Texans owner expects the Texans to be in the playoffs for the next two years. No way the Texans take a qb at 3.

I wouldn’t say that , they could if they like someone, they are getting a new coach so I wouldn’t rule it out

The metric is now two years or three at most. Bengals have set the bar.

The Texans could pass on a QB at #3 and still take one in the first rd by trading up from their 2nd rd pick at #37.

Even if they think they can land the falling QB they wanted at #37, by moving up 5 or more spots, and taking him in the late 1st rd, the Texans get a 5th year option on the player, It's a slick FO move.

In 2 years the Texans should be in the playoffs again, if they don't want a QB at 3, they can totally rebuild with a trade down,
and still scalp another team for Watson. Pickett may be end up being too good to pass, i'm not taking any DB in this draft at 3

Hell to the Mother Fucking NO

An NFL executive said the Commanders could "justify" trading the 11th pick in the NFL Draft for Jimmy Garoppolo.

The executive, who was quoted anonymously about Washington's quarterback options for 2022, "doesn’t think Garoppolo is worth the 11th selection or any first-round choice based on skill set and injury history," but believes the organization could justify the move if they deem the draft's top QBs as unstartable. A high first round pick would be quite the price for a quarterback who was mostly efficient in Kyle Shanahan's run-first offense. Niners beat writer Cam Inman this month said the team might take a Day Two draft pick for Jimmy G. Among the most QB-desperate teams in the NFL, Washington would be a bad spot if they once again had to turn to Taylor Heinicke as their Day One starter.

Bullshit.
Heinicke performed better in the playoffs with less talent than jimmy g did.

Washington would be better served drafting a stud wr at 11 and rolling with TH than trading that pick for Jimmy G. He was terrible in the playoffs.

Do Washington fans like him? I love Jimmy G, but there is no chance that he is our QB next season, so I hope he goes somewhere where he will be loved.

Yeah, he's average, maybe slightly above average. Quick release and quick decision making, but he doesn't have the legs to extend plays. Some think he has decent arm strength, some don't.

I didn't see him complete many deep passes this season. Maybe it was poor deep ball accuracy, but regardless of whether it's arm strength or accuracy, I would say that you shouldn't expect a lot of deep pass plays to work.

I think he is worse than what we have in Heinicke, personally. Certainly not worth trading anything other than a late round draft pick for.
