ok, could be his last game or maybe not? If Gabbert continues with the INT's, then i can see a change. But other than turnovers, it'll be a few more games with Gabbert. I'm ok with Gabbert knowing Kaep from the previous TWO years.

who knows, maybe he switches to Ponder? by now Ponder is more comfortable with the team and offensive scheme.
Yes anyone but Gabbert.

Miami who hasn't been that good, went up there and Seattle's offense didn't play well. Yes, I know our history up there. Do I expect to win, definitely not. But if their offense runs hog wild on our defense and we can't get any pressure against that oline, then our defense is in pretty bad shape.

they haven't been scoring for a reason, and those reasons aren't gone this Sunday.

granted their D is still solid and is why i'm not saying we WILL win. We'll have to take care of ball as usual, and limit the penalties. We have a realistic chance of winning.

Next guy up? Not sure about that. I'll always be a Kap fan but there is something toxic about him as a Niner. I hope he finds success in another team.
I don't care if it Kap or Ponder. I just want to see a change. If they aren't the answer u go back to gabbert what matters. This season doesn't matter. We just want to see the others get better. We all know none of the QBs on this team is the future.

I agree with this. We have a shot. Losing Ray Ray sucks because we now see more of Wilhoite

i give us a 50/50 chance to win on Sunday. their O-line isn't good and more importantly, they have some key injuries on offense. don't see them scoring a lot unless we help them with turnovers?

it could easily come down to ST's, all aspects of it.

Remember those times when the two teams were pretty much par with each other just a few years ago? Remember when SF would go up to Seattle only to get their ass kicked?

I don't care how much Seattle is struggling or how this or that....barring something unforseen, Seattle is essentially still the same playoff/Super Bowl contender and we....well...we are trying to avoid the first pick in the draft.

Now we must return from a long trip from the East coast and face a fairly pissed off team in their building again. I can't get shocked at anything in the NFL these days, but I'll be as close to being shocked if SF hangs tough. Chances of SF winning? I'd say under 5%.

until Gabbert plays himself out of the job, it is "anyone but Kaep".

Gabbert isn't the best but i can watch him play. I have a HARD time watching Kaep play after these last TWO years.

I don't know how u can watch him play. miss pass after miss pass. The worst when he screws up back to back screen plays. How can't u throw like 3 yards.
The only thing I like about him game is he can read the pocket. He makes a decent throw every 10-15 passes. The one to Smith was a good one. His Int are bad.

I see where you're going with this and I agree. Throw a couple picks and get benched. Try something else.

i'm ok with 'trying something else out', but at the appropriate time. Gabbert isn't great by NFL standards and this shouldn't surprise ANYONE. But don't think now is time to make this change, let him start against Seattle.

Call me crazy, but I think this is a win. Seattle seems to have issues right now, and it might be the perfect time for us to play them, hopefully before they hit their stride like I expect them to. All things considered, I think we did decent going up against Carolina on a short week, at least better than I anticipated. I say win.

I'm 2-0 predicting our games this year so far. Hope I'm right again.

Arik Armstead Shares Unique Perspective on Defending Seahawks QB Russell Wilson

Wilson is getting sacked already, and high ankle sprains don't heal so quickly. Without his scrambling ability, our D can pressure him.

This isn't the same Seattle offense and its showing, their O-line may have gotten even weaker?

I honestly like our chances as Wilson won't have 100% of his mobility and he's a below average starting QB without it. Seattle also has a much worst running game without Lynch and a poor offensive line. The D is still good but I don't see how they can score enough to win unless their D gets points off turnovers for them.

We've proven over the first 2 weeks we can score on 2 of the best defenses in the league so I expect we put up around 17 to 21 points on Seattle. That should be enough giving Seattle can't find the Endzone right now and will be even less effective against us than they were the Rams and Dolphins.

Agree that unless we turn it over and help them, their offense isn't going to score a lot. Also agree their defense is still formidable and its in Seattle, we won't score a lot either. IMO 17 to 21 points in on the high end for us, unless they help out with their turnovers. :-)

Predicting a low scoring affair just like their last two games. As such, think we have a 50/50 chance.

BTW - these are the types of 'trends' that fool gamblers, it looks almost too obvious? So from a gambler's perspective, it'll likely be a high scoring affair. :-)

Playoff Contender Yes, Super bowl Contender no. That Oline is bad and they dont have much on offense.

To have much of a chance, we've got to do 2 things we couldn't do in Carolina--run and stop the run. I'll agree with others that Seattle is vulnerable b/c that OL is the worst it's been in 3 years and Wilson is hobbled. I still don't see us winning in Seattle, though I'd love to be wrong.
