I think Kaep will play well.
this would be a good time to do it.
Kaep has some talent and on occasion or stretches, can play well. But he isn't nearly consistent enough playing 'well'. He plays poorly more times than he plays well.
When Kelly was in trouble in Philly.....I said his next destination should be SF since they have a QB perfect for his system.
Tough spot for Kelly. Gabbert's play was among the worst in the league. Kap played poorly last year but Kelly probably felt forced to try something as the team is 1-4 and offense is struggling badly. From what I've read, Ponder doesn't know the offense yet. He has been spending practice time as a scout QB.Kaep may not impress vs the Bills D but starting him is the right choice. Gabbert sure as Hell wasn't the answer and Ponder is a backup/emergency starter.
Kaepernick is perfect....for the CFL. Or any other team other than SF.

Interesting thing that alot of people don't realize is that Kelly has not been playing an up tempo offense in SF. Greg Cosell mentioned this morning that the play clock usually was winding down to 10 seconds. He said that hardly happened in PhillyWhen Kelly was in trouble in Philly.....I said his next destination should be SF since they have a QB perfect for his system.
How quick you are to throw the guy under the bus. When Harbaugh was in SF......Kaep was the toast of the town.

I thought Gabbert could be a decent stop gap this year but his play had regressed. He always had accuracy issues on deep balls but I thought he three short passes well last year. This year he can't even accurately make short passes this year. He does make some nice throws but then throws some real stinkers. Very inconsistent.Kaep has just 26 INT's in over 1300 pass attempts. 1 every 50 or so passes.
Gabbert is a TO machine by comparison. 6 INT's in 150 pass attempts, 1 every 25 or so.

He's a career backup. He could be okay if your starter was out 2-4 games but if he's out 6 games to most of the season? Your team is fucked.
Kaep's making the same amount this season (but 3 years are wiped out except for an option next seaspn), that's another huge reason he has to see the field. Making too much to sit on the sidelines, especially since Gabbert isn't wow'ing anybody (except in a bad way).
Just saw this on ESP-enis
Yes Im giving 3 games to judge. Remember this is like his 1st live action in 1 year. Should be interesting.
A shark attack.what are we watching now?
