Well we just added more depth in the secondary. He is 27 years old. He is an ok CB. Its going to be some battle at the CB position. Some one is getting cut and I think that person will be Rogers. Very interesting move.

Carlos Rogers I think is still the best CB on the team. Sure Brown had a breakout year, but Rogers played a lot of slot which in many cases is the hardest position to defend.

Wright is horrendous. Culliver and Wright would be the most feasted on DBs in the league (ok maybe exaggerating) if they were to play together as starters.

Rogers is not the best CB on the team, not even close. Rogers was absolutely horrendous last season. He wasn't good on the outside of on the inside in the slot.

Brown > Wright >>>>> Rogers > Culliver

A few tidbits from checking around PFF...
Wright gave up near 900 yards receiving(with the Lions)
to go along with 5 TD's(with the Lions)
62.5% completion percentage and 90+ QB rating on targets his way last year (Bucs)

nothing wrong with having depth. on another note Rogers was really bad last year.

No guaranteed money, conditional pick, relatively low base salary, younger guy with some physical ability. I don't have a problem with the move. It's a buy-low sort of thing that carries very little risk and potentially high reward.

I agree, is it a great move no but I like what Baalke is doing. He is still trying to improve the team. u cant have enough CBs. Also lets say we cut Rogers we save 4.5 million. 3.5 will still hit the cap but we will have money to play with next year. I might be a little off on the numbers

I really don't think they are going to cut Rogers this year. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened next year though.

Wright is gonna battle with Rodgers primarily right, for covering the slot?

Trade is off. Bucs just released him. If we want we can pick him up for nothing now.

but now he can explore his best opportunities.

if he didn't pass our physical, don't see why we would want him? vet minimum or not, can he compete well enough?

I would assume that the 5th CB would need ST chops, Perrish Cox has them, not sure of Eazy E has them.
