No way he get 12 million a year. He is more like a 8-9 million dollar player. Any team giving him that much is crazy. He is not even close to Mike wallace.

If we're talking one or the other, I'd rather have a healthy Nicks over Wallace easily. That's unrealistic because of course Nicks is rarely ever completely healthy. I'm just pointing out what I think of both players if they're both "good" to go.

I don't think he's even close to 8-9 million a year. He's never played 16 games in a season.

If the Niners trade for him, however, they need to work out a long-term deal IMO.

wow.... this is interesting... I mean I'd like the idea of Nicks, big body WR with good speed n capable hands... the contract extension would be a dealbreaker for me however...

I still like Crabtree when healthy here for us and he's been very good since Kap took over as QB... so I still want Crabtree here.... if its between Crabs n Hicks, fuck... I stay loyal to my guys first n foremost...

Look if trade for Nicks and if Crab comes back and doesnt do well we resign Nicks and trade Crabtree next year or let him go or we resign Nicks and Crabtree and let Boldin go. This would atleast give us Insurance.

I like Patton and Baldwin is growing on me. No need to trade for a WR right now with Manningham coming back next game.

it would a lot of $ invested at WR pending on what Nicks n Crabs would look for... I believe Crabs will holdout for a bigger deal like he did before his first ever contract lol....

Nicks with the health issues should lower cost.... This would end the baldwin experiment which I feel he hasn't got a real chance to blossom

Well we are paying Boldin 6 million so what is another 2 million if we offer Nicks 8 million. Crab will get 12 million. So yes it would be alot of money but the truth is this has been our weakest position for a awhile now. Rogers wont be back next year so we save alot of money from that.

If he had another year on his contract or if we plan on franchising him I would go for a trade for him but I'm not a fan of giving up a 3rd rounder for a rental.

It's not like baseball where you can just plug in play guys. If you trade for Hicks he would need time to learn the playbook and develop chemistry with Kap so it's a move that really bear fruit until next season.

I would give up a 4th for him maybe a 3rd because we have so many picks. Remember we have 2 3's and 2 2's.

well isn't Boldin only paid through the end of this season? If we are going to be pass first offense then the addition of Nicks n Crabtree are certainly needed (or whoever WR) since we're focusing the WR as our offense...

We can get any or better production at a cheaper price had MM remain healthy... we were hit before the season started, its not like Crabtree n MM have disappointed, they haven't been here to play yet...

we as fans and coaches overrated Moore, Patton(well, he's no starter) n KW(for stepping up at least, geesh thanks guy! lol)... Boldin is holding up his end of the bargain... Jenkins was a BUST.... options at WR were weak but it wasn't our best lineup by any means...

at this pace, might want to keep those picks to move up or for a better player.... we're going to need a NT and/or Pass rusher soon...

I would consider a 4th but I have a tough time with a 3rd unless they secure him long term. A 3rd for a rental and a guy with health issues is just too high imo.

Also the 3rd round seems like Baalke's money round which makes me less inclined to send one away.

Crabs has been good long before Kaepernick. Kaep needs Crabtree. I also would take Crabtree over Nicks, all day long. Better hands, much better route runner.

Nicks for part of 1 year isn't worth anything near a 3rd. More like a 6th.
