4/22 GDT ATL at Champs

Hi guys, been away for a bit.

Kind of a slow start for us in April, eh? I'm not even close to worried yet. It'd be nice to see MadBum get on track. Everything else is about as expected. Injuries have probably cost us 2 games or so, at full strength we'd be tied w Colorado.

So far nice to see Vogelsong look sharp.

Hanson reminds me of Kevin Corriea.

Correia is actually pitching well as Pittsburgh's 'ace' these days.

I always thought Correia could be a better pitcher if he pitched backwards, i.e fastball in off-speed counts.

Very nice outing by Vogelsong. But we ain't winning today. Atlanta looks to have at least our equal in pitching (starters and pen). We may face them again as wild cards this year.

hey fellas. i was in the stands tonight, and i was wondering about the ross play. from my seats it looked like the wall knocked the ball out of his glove. i was told over the phone he slowed up/got scared and misplayed it. was it jus a good hit?

The ball carried more than you'd expect. I wouldn't call it a misplay, and the ball hit pretty high up the wall. But had Ross ran back to the wall quickly, which would have given him time to properly leap, he MIGHT have had it. My first reaction was that it was a tough play for even an above average fielder.
