so i have tanaka in my rotation...matter of time before his arm falls off, i dont thinkhe gets thru the ASB...team will put him under the knife at some point once they fall back in the standings.

i doubt anyone takes him in a trade...drop him? i could get a guy like wade miley in his place.

ERA of 7.00 thru 2 starts (1.56 WHIP)

velocity seems down, throws more offspeed stuff...not really effective.

Velocity isn't down that much. Not like he was some pitcher who used to hit 96 or 97. Last night his fastball was fine but off speed stuff was not. He will be fine

i thought he sat around 95 last year with his fastball

i did read he didnt throw a tonthis spring, so he is maybe still stretching that arm out.

dirt and i seem to agree, he goes under the knife before the seasons over, maybe by the ASB.

I miss ox. Yeah he was around 94-95 but he's throwing more 2 seam fb this year. Not a big deal throwing 91 or 92 instead 94 or 95. Isn't a huge dropoff

The look on Jake Peavey's face when he gave up the grand slam to Nieves was priceless. What a punkass.

A few games in and I'm right back to be totally sick of Dick Enberg calling Padres games. He's incapable of pronouncing a Latin name. Musta said Nieves as NAY-e-vus a dozen times. :gaah:
