If Bradley can figure out the strike zone and even be a merely below average hitter, his defense would make him a very useful 4th OF.

A 4th OFer is not what the "experts" were saying he was going to be, and that is the point. The "experts" are wrong more then they are right. Nick Johnson and Andy Phillips were supposed to be great, and how did that turn out for the Yankees?

Jackie Bradley would start on numerous MLB times right now. He shouldn't be dumped in the same class as Anderson. And I'd note that Middlebrooks is, in fact, starting on the Padres. Neither have lived up to expectations, but I wouldn't imply that they are busts.
this

Yankee fans scoffing at starting a 25 year old elite defender in CF who has batted about .200 over the course of one season. Same fans hail a 25 year old career .240 hitter who plays marginal defense at short as the next franchise savior.

Where did anybody say Didi was going to be the Yankees saviour?

And name me a player that went on to be a superstar after batting under .200 for his first 160 games?

i guarantee you if the sox outright released JBJ, he'd be on a MLB starting roster in days.

That is what we kept hearing last year, that the Sox could afford to lose Ellsbury because JBJ was just as good but cheaper.

Now this year it is JBJ could start for other MLB teams.

Just another player that is nowhere near what the "experts" project him to be, which was my original point.

Looks like the Nats could use a Jackie Bradley Jr. right about now.

How bad has the Nationals fielding been this year? A 2.32 team Era before today and they are only 2-4

Ian Desmond has 4 or 5 errors already. He's a mess.
