IS there a right or wrong answer?
IMO
1. Ty Cobb
2. Mickey Mantle
3. Willie Mays
4. Tris Speaker
5. Joe DiMaggio
But I wouldn't argue against any of the top 3 I listed being #1 to someone else.
Yeah I'd say there is. And I'd say you're wrong. Mays is the best center fielder of all time. Highest WAR/JAWS/WAR7 and played in a significantly harder era to hit in than Cobb. I agree all three are close, but considering his great defense and dominance in a neutral, and then eventually pitcher's era, I'd say he is better.IS there a right or wrong answer?

Is that a good or bad thing to you?Omar have you checked out the team thread. You like Nos's team? Fyi please don't post on that thread. Also thanks again for sharing your views. It's very nice to meet someone who has different opinions then Nos and expresses them so openly.

"Opinion" in sport's talk isn't like "french toast is better than pancakes." It's ideas that people formulate based on their knowledge of a particular sport, and they usually are right or wrong. So, you are saying MY OPINION is wrong? How ironic is it you called me a kid, lolzzzz. You are a fucking child, do me a favor, try to get the paper a little closer to the front door tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

How is it useless? You don't think a stat that can transcend leagues and eras and tell how much better a player is than the AAAA player of their time has any value? Would you rather use WAA?WAR is a useless stat, and the majority of all your baseball opinions are based on it.
Nos is the bossman. We go from baseball to football to nHow does this work? Do you guys do it manually? I would be interested.
I would say Mays, Mantle, Cobb, Speaker, Joe D, though Jr is pushing...IS there a right or wrong answer?
