I remember a few seasons ago when he was down to 39% and people were saying he was on the decline.

I'm not even concerned about percentages. When the defense leaves you open as many times as they do with Draymond, you just have to shoot it instead of passing it to a teammate who has a tougher shot. Plus, it runs down the shot clock.
Pace and space won't work as well if you aren't taking advantage of the space that has been created and also slowing down the game by passing up a shot.
