Russ is definitely the problem. When he takes their offense hostage by trying to out do the other team's "hot" player he kills them every time. It's like his team becomes invisible to him in those moments.
But, they do need a better coach that can get RW in check & be brave enough to take the ball out of his hands in those moments. I've said this for the past 3 seasons.
Paul George attempted 15 threes in game 1. Schroder attempted 7.
Russ just missed shots last night. He's not playing hero ball. Not attempting a crazy amount of 3's. He is simply missing shots.
Not sure what series you're watching.
In the past he did that at times for sure. In the series so far he has not done that.
He was actually solid in game 1. That game was all on PG-13 terrible shot selection.
Can't complain when Russ shoots 47% and finish with 24-10-10. Anyone who watched G1 would know PG-13 and Kanter abusing Adams were the main reasons for their defeat.
He played like crap yesterday for sure but he never took the offense hostage.
