I think it's wrong. It's still just a guess from the guy on where the axis begins.

And to be clear, that's not written by the blog. That was just someone's message board post that got posted to the site.

OSU fans be like, did you see this angle?

CyZgiB3UcAABP_m.jpg:large

But guys, we're not going to agree...ever. So unless some new video angle comes out (and why do we only have one TV angle? There's like 100 cameras to record these games, why are we limited to the one broadcast angle?) then we're never going to agree. And it's exhausting for my mental and emotional health to keep persevering on this game.
MaizeandBlue: "someone provide me with evidence that it was actually a first down."

Across the Field: "Here's a link from 247sports.com from a completely unbiased writer showing Barrett had the first down."

MaizeandBlue: "No that doesn't count, it's not in full 1080p."

ericd: "Alright, here's another site showing a screen shot that shows he got the first down."

MaizeandBlue: "No that one doesn't count either."

Keep your head in the sand. OSU won fair and square. We even spotted you guys 6 points in regulation and you couldn't get it done. Too bad.

I just hope because of this game -- they no longer allow referees who live in the home state of either team to work the game.

Having an admitted lifelong OSU fan, who is from Ohio as one ref. And having another ref, who lives in Ohio, and last month was in Columbus being inducted into the OHSAA HOF has to be a conflict of interest. Even the third ref -- had already been fired by the conference once for poor officiating.

You'd think with the entire country watching -- the B1G would bring in the best they have to officiate the game. The B1G has had a rule where a ref cannot work a game involving their home state. Schwartzel, the admitted lifelong OSU fan, was part of the crew who was supposed to work the 2006 game and was removed because he is from Ohio. Why would they let it go in such an important game?

Spotted us 6? We spotted you 21. OSU's longest TD drive in regulation was 13 yards. We fumbled a snap at the 1, which is worse than missing two FG's.

And stop already with 'pics' of the 'first down'. NO ONE has a pic. All anyone is showing is photoshopped pics. If there was an actual pic -- the refs would have said the call was confirmed on the field during the game. They did not. Which means all the 'proof' either side has is non-sense.

Stop acting like OSU didn't earn the INTs, dude. That is a total load of shit. We're 4th in the nation in INTs, it's what we do. If anything, michigan's INT of Barrett was the actual gift, considering it was right in our WR's hands and he fucking dropped it, which is what actually led to your possession where you fumbled, so those two cancel out in terms of a team giving away a turnover. Every point we had that game was earned and saying anything to the contrary is flat out bullshit.

And yes, you're right. Odds are we'll never see a shot that is able to prove without a doubt that he was over. It was a play that came down to fractions of an inch, but pissing and moaning and acting like that is what cost michigan the game is ridiculous.

The linesman who spotted the ball is from Grand Rapids

So OSU earned their interceptions, but UM's was a gift. You are sounding like the OSU version of MnB right now.

Look at them and tell me I'm wrong.
I just don't get OSU fans. Be happy for the win. Like I told Slinky -- I couldn't care less if my team was outplayed as long as they win in the end. That is all that matters. If you'd like to give UM the win -- I will happily say OSU kicked our ass.

Wiwesinski or something like that

I haven't even read his name anywhere. It shows the officials for the game as Capron (lead official), Schwartzel (back judge) and Bobby Sagers (side judge)

Michigan was getting the ball on like the 40 almost every damn possession. The couple times they got put back deep they threw picks. Can't claim to "outplay" a team when you dominated the field position and couldn't pull out a win.

We dominated you in field position for a reason. Your offense couldn't do anything, our defense was stellar and our punter was hitting some great punts. The reality is, we just made some very crucial mistakes that kept OSU in it.

I can't believe this is still being discussed. It was a first down. Get over it. Neither team dominated the game. Both defenses played outstanding. You can't use the Bama v Ole Miss effect to claim that turnovers can be ignored when rating performance. Turnovers are a MAJOR component. If you turn the ball over frequently -- YOU DID NOT DOMINATE.

In the spirit of the season of giving -- these were the gifts as I see them:

OSU
Missed FG
Missed FG
Fake Punt

Michigan
Fumble

Ref -- Non PI/Hold call on OSU in overtime

In results is the same song being played for the last dozen years.

Frankly, I don't get you and your need for some trumped up "but we were the better team" validation.

They lost. Eat your shit like a man.

Your offense couldn't do anything

You're absolutely right, provided you ignore the facts that tOSU had more yards, more first downs and more points. Other than that, they totally couldn't do anything.

I still say your "photoshopped" bit was some of the funniest shit I've read on tHoop.
