Honestly, it’s too bad he didn’t get the perfect game. Because it should’ve beenNo Hit!!!!!!!!!!
WRC+22 is down to 22. Its seriously malpractice to the player and the fans to trot this out every night.Send white down or something. This is not working.
He just stands there flat as a board reaching for anything low and away.
Sabotage, huh? Why not? It's exactly what the morons in the front office want. Otherwise, Servais and his squad would have been out on their asses LONG ago!Well they did say the infield coach had the infielders working out at 10:30 this morning so maybe they a bit tired...
The over-swing and his continued effort to jerk every pitch to left even when it is outside and off the plate just kills me. I am actually more bothered by the coaches allowing it then him doing it.WRC+22 is down to 22. Its seriously malpractice to the player and the fans to trot this out every night.
I dont care that you were dumb and offered him a contract. You gotta eat the mistake and admit the kid needs help
I actually wonder who actually watches these guys and helps them with their swings. Crawford has had an issue standing too deep in batter's box and not covering outside pitches well and also has his hands too high. Helps explain the lack of power too i bet. Also France has developed a weird hitch in his swing and is getting killed on inside pitches now. And there's White who has many issues. The over-swing and his continued effort to jerk every pitch to left even when it is outside and off the plate just kills me. Great question and one that has needed an answer to for decades in some cases.I actually wonder who actually watches these guys and helps them with their swings. I am not claiming to be any kind of expert but I see things that seem clearly off and have been that way for weeks and it just gets me thinking does anyone try and work with these guys at the big league level. Is it Servais, Tim Laker, an organizational guy? Who is it? Or does stuff like this just not get addressed until the winter.
Wait, he actually said that?!Did Servais just say he thought perfect game was possible in the 3rd inning?
I was watching the post game, not sure why, and I swear they asked him when did you think a perfect game was possible and I thought he said 3rd inning. That blew me away.Wait, he actually said that?!
That confirms it, he IS trying to destroy the team. And they're LETTING him do it!
FIRE HIM NOW! IT'S BEEN TOO LONG ALREADY!
Yea you may as well get used to the not spending money part as the Mariners are unlikely to ever make a real attempt ( with the check book ) at fielding a championship contending team. Being profitable is their #1 goal, winning is #2.
The Mariners woes of 2021 boils down to single stat line: a 207 team batting avg ( 2nd worst in all of MLB - 30 teams ).
the entire 9 man line-up is a 'weak spot' and no opposing pitcher has any concern whatsoever about men on base, even when facing the heart of the Ms batting order.
Its a 'rebuilding year ... just like 2022 and 2023 and all subsequent years. Yea they will show some sparks of life and play some stretches of games like a legit contender and even make a run of 13-2 to start a season like a couple years ago. But the MLB season is 162 games and the cream always rises to the top and the non compete teams fall to the basement of various divisions to only dream about 'next year'.
Love them or hate them, they are our team and I support and believe in them, but have realistic expectations as to what I truly believe can and will happen moving forward.
Kelenic will be a nice shot in the arm most likely around the all star break. He will mash the ball for a few years as a Mariner and then go to the highest bidder around 5-6 years down the road. He will constantly be pitched around by opposing pitchers as 1 single legit hitter in a line-up of .225 hitters is no threat when you are OK with walking him to 1st after trying to get him to chase balls off the plate as you pitch around him in the line-up. There is not a single Mariners batter you can hit behind him that will keep pitchers honest. Maybe 1-2 yrs down the road Julio Rodriguez is that guy ... we will see.
