I know it's way early but in this season of covid one thing is quite obvious. This game truly benefits neither team.

It could be canceled and provided osu wins the top 4 likely hold.

I don't see the Aggies as better than any of those 4

If they canceled and OSU wins they just play this game in January. If Clemson wins you gotta figure they drop ND to 4 and set up osu Clemson again.

That's the other thing going against A&M. They already got throttled by Bama. Them as a 4 isn't enticing.

TAMU also took a hit with the Florida loss. I just don’t see a path for them to the CFP short of a CU loss in the ACCCG or a tOSU loss.

florida would be a 3-loss team in that scenario likely, ranked lower than North Carolina.
That is why this Florida loss to a bad 4-6 LSU team is crushing to the Aggies.

Notre Dame beat North Carolina on the road.
aTm beat Florida at home.

atM would have had a shot had Florida not tossed the shoe.
That shoe tossing cost both of those teams.

And I suspect the ACC is just going to cancel the ACC title game.
They already got two teams in. They are likely to play each other in the playoffs.

Haha! OSU has played one decent football team and held on for a 7 point win. Shove that bullshit up your ass. Listen, it is what it is. OSU is a name team and revenue is down all over college football. The committee needs as many name teams as possible so OSU will get in. However, unlike Alabama Clemson and Notre Dame OSU hasn’t earned their inclusion this season.

I don't see the committee punishing ND for playing this game unless they get absolutely trounced. But then you still have the issue of A&M having already been smoked by Bama.

I agree ND goes to 4 if they lose for matchup purposes though.

The real bitch is if Clemson loses. No flipping way they want Bama/A&M again. You could possibly still see Clemson make it or someone like USC sneak it from nowhere

I don’t see anything close to that happening. Even then, TAMU has a 52-24 loss to Bama. An unbeaten Cincy and CC would be the only unbeaten alternatives with a decent number of wins. I don’t see either getting a nod. USC is the other wildcard, but they were 15 this week.

Agreed, though my point is I think ND gets in even if they lose badly in the ACCCG. A blowout loss to CU actually makes it easy for the committee to seed ND 4th and avoid a third CU/ND game as a semi.

What will be interesting from a seeding POV is if CU wins something like 21-20.
