Any day now, Albert Pujols, 37, will join the 600 Home Run Club. If he stays healthy, he may join super-talented Aaron, Rodriguez, and Mays in the elite 3,000 Hit, 600 Home Run Club this year. Alex Rodriguez' stats are tarnished by his admitted PED usage over multiple seasons. Pujols never tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

600 Home Run Club
Barry Bonds - 762
Hank Aaron - 755, 3,771 hits
Babe Ruth - 714
Alex Rodriguez* - 692, 3,115 hits
Willie Mays - 660, 3,283 hits
Ken Griffey Jr. - 630
Jim Thome - 612
Sammy Sosa - 609

The line stats on these players are remarkably similar. Pujols' 17-year career was aided by the DH for the past six years with the Angels, but he is still a prolific hitter and has played in 800 less games.

I wonder if STL has any regrets. He's done a ton of hitting since the trade.

STL got their rings on #5s back. Now STL is just an ATM - they are no threat to
Win rings.

This was the plan after the 2011 World Series when they decided not to bring #5 back.

STL offered him $200 million over 8 years in 2011 spring training. Albert listened to his agent in Beverly Hills, CA and decided to test the waters. That was his only mistake even though the DH was perfect for AP.

2011 happened. After, Albert told Moz that all he wanted was what the Cards offered in spring training. Moz came back with 5 years, $150 million. Cards did the same thing to Matheny and Renteria -- offered low years knowing they wouldn't take the offer.

Then the Cards decided to make Albert look bad and like he was all about the money. Albert has called Moz a snake and wanted to knock Dewitt out at Musials funeral.

That organization is a joke and I hope they are cursed for many many after the way they handled #5. They could have called a presser like the Colts did with Manning -- said thank you but it's time to move on... But the FO chose to act like assholes.

Yeah, he should have taken the offer and told Moz to fuck off.
