I think Wilson will accept a deal by Friday. Too big a difference between what they are offering and the $1.5 million that his current deal pays to not accept their offer.

Yeah, I know the Seahawks got lucky. Their luck ran out on their final offensive play in the SB though.

Nice to at least see a Seattle fan finally admit it was the Packers choking and not the Seattle team coming back hard in the last 5 minutes to win the game this is a first from what I have seen

So, then by the same reasoning, NE got "LUCKY' to win the SB, because Seattle choked?

Wilson is overrated, his defense and running game is what makes the team so great. Not saying he isnt a GOOD qb, but he is not GREAT. I still dont understand why people insist on calling a qb elite because they win a superbowl. He didnt do it alone. He played awful in the superbowl imo. How many completions did he have the whole game? The first half was pathetic.

I agree,

Financially it just makes sense to sign the deal this year and take $21 or $22M or whatever. If he doesn't take it and plays for the $1.5 he's owed he loses approx. $20M. Then even if he gets $23 or $24M next year he's still way behind on his two year total of potential earnings. He'd have to make $3 or $4M more per year than what is offered now, every year for 5 to 7 years just hit the break even point if he misses this years big day.

You could look at it like that, or you could say seattle got lucky with that miracle catch to put them in the red zone. They had no business winning that game dude we outplayed them plain and simple.

Seattle had a horseshoe crammed up their ass through the entire postseason. Their luck ran dry on their last play. The look on Sherman's face was priceless.

It wouldnt be so hard to pay him if that defense wasnt so expensive. When you have quality players it is hard to be able to keep them all.
Matt Flynn would play for less.

Packer fans talking shit about choking. What happened last time your team was on the field?
That was a colossal choke job but Seattle's last second brain fart happened in the Super Bowl.

even $21/year is going to cost seattle a lot of their future

baffling that any seattle fan thinks this is good

Thats what i've been saying the entire time.......

edit to add: Plus if he signs now, that starts the clock again. he'll get another contract before he's put out to pasture.... if he plays the franchise game it delays that

I'd rather pay our "good" QB top dollar than pay a bad QB "good" QB money.

This guy better sign before Lynch leaves or gets hurt. And it's always easy to play QB in front of a top defense. Easiest job in the league.

Funny he's trying to get paid now after throwing a terrible pick to lose the Super Bowl. Not great timing for him.

No one thinks this is good, but there are some that believe it won't hurt the teams odds of making the post season. Math is just not strong with some people I guess. :noidea:

That's one way to think about things, I suppose. Certainly not one that I'd ever think of, though. Apparently the Seattle front office also isn't thinking about it like that.

You keep making this comment. How about telling us what the Seahawks should do at the QB position if they let RW walk? Otherwise Just STFU.
