Congrats to TB! I was rooting for the Habs. So now out a time to turn to FA, expansion draft, trades, and the draft. Now that the season is officially over, when can trades start?

McDonough was amazing. Why did the Rags let him go?In a 7 game series the best team always wins. Congratulations to the cheaters see you next year.
If you would would like to unload McDonaghs salary for a song please call us.
They were smart and got rid of most of their star/expensive players to do a rebuild and is currently rebuilding a team better than us instead of being dumb like us and staying in the middle for 10 yearsMcDonough was amazing. Why did the Rags let him go?
No idea how they keep it together. They are $3.5 mill over the cap with 17 players signed. 9 players make over $5 mill with another 3 over $4.Yep. Best team won I would say. Good time to be a TB fan. They've got a top 10 center (maybe even 2), a top 5 W, a top 5 D, and potentially the best goalie in the league. Plus all their depth. They're going to have to part with some of that depth this summer, but they'll still have a great team next year no doubt about it.
I expect we'll start seeing things pick up in earnest now. My guess is even though teams are technically allowed to make trades while the playoffs are still going on, most probably try to wait until they're over to not distract from them
Last night on the NHL channel they were saying that even when they get under the cap they will be the favorite to win the cup as their core will still be intact. No idea how they keep it together. They have to keep that core, they can't win with out it, their another product of a shitty team using a the loophes provided to put a stacked team on the ice. Vasileski already proved he needs a super team in front of him to be great, another super over rated player IMO. You see he choked 3 times with almost the same team. They won't be in the finals next year, Book it!Yep. They will be a great team as long as they have Kucherov, Point, Vasilevsky, Hedman, and Stamkos. Barely matters who you put around them, they're going to be contenders.
I’ll swap Vasilevskiy for Hart every day of the week. They have to keep that core, they can't win with out it, their another product of a shitty team using a the loophes provided to put a stacked team on the ice. Of course you would seeing his record playing in front of a stacked team, stats weren't so hot up til then, if you don't think Hart would thrive on that team then I can't make you see it. You think Vasilesky would have this Flyers team in a better position right now? You think more highly of him then me I guess.I’ll swap Vasilevskiy for Hart every day of the week.
I like this prediction because if they arent in the finals there is an open spot for us.They have to keep that core, they can't win with out it, their another product of a shitty team using a the loophes provided to put a stacked team on the ice. Good on both accounts, no sense in pursuing Jones with out a long term deal, just doesn't make sense for this team other wise.31 Thoughts: Where NHL's Olympic participation stands as off-season begins
A lot is about to happen this NHL off-season, and it's going to happen fast. Amid expansion, deals and signings, the league and the NHLPA are trying to finalize Olympic participation, too. The latest on that, and more, in 31 Thoughts.www.sportsnet.ca
Two big Flyers notes from Friedman.
One, they’re going to look for move Voracek this summer. Sounds like they’re being open and honest with him in case they can’t get it done and he comes back.
Two, talks with CBJ about Jones are off for now. Jones is apparently unwilling to commit long term and Friedman says the flyers won’t do it without that commitment.

I like Jake but it's time for new younger blood.
That seems a lot of pieces we'd end up moving for the sake of moving Jake, hope it plays out cheaper than that lol.I bet they make a deal with Seattle to take Jake. Based on that. It’s probably the easiest/best way to move Jake’s contract. And I bet they’d prefer to keep JvR over Jake.
So my prediction is that they get a deal in place with Seattle to take Jake. That will free them up to trade for Dumba without concern for exposing Myers. I’m guessing a 1st, Patrick, and a guy like Lacyznski for Dumba. Since it’ll be before the draft, that’ll help Minnesota’s expansion plans, plus that’s a nice return for Dumba.
Guessing it takes either a decent prospect, like Zamula, or at least a 2nd round pick, to get Seattle to take Jake. Hopefully it doesn’t take Frost/Foerster and I assume they won’t move Frost.
Could also see Patrick being the sweetener for Seattle to take Jake. Would have to play with the Dumba trade in that case though. Guessing they’d want Frost as the alternate.
