Don’t have to wait for Caps game - we still suck.
Why would we do this when we could just keep firing coaches? Also when is that supposed stud we have in Couts gonna show up? Another one of our over rated 2b players we're so high on. This team needs to rebuild Asap, whole nine yards no one is exempt except Hart.
Him and wilman are really the only 2 I saw ready to play.Jackson Cates Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funny part about this is they only got to play 7 plus minutes.Him and wilman are really the only 2 I saw ready to play.
Yes something needs to be done asap to start turning the page, Yeo needs to be gone and we need to name a coach. Giroux and whoever else we can move at the deadline needs to be gone, if even for high draft picks in return. We need to swing for the fence on a serious 1a Dman and a 1 a sniper/ offensive guy. And build on it from there. All our superstars are just 2nd and 3 Rd liners so we're set there.Funny part about this is they only got to play 7 plus minutes.
I agree about moving players and i wouldnt mind if they started right now.The problem is we arent getting any high draft picks from any playoff teams that we could trade Gee too and hes our most valuable chip.Yes something needs to be done asap to start turning the page, Yeo needs to be gone and we need to name a coach. If the coach and GM go it will be our 7th coach and our 4th GM since 2013 and we are still a middle of the road team. See a pattern here? Also a rumor going around that Fletcher may be on the chopping block to, that wouldn't disappoint me either.

Its quite obvious that the 70% that was changed wasn't the problem and its been obvious far too long. Rangers traded everyone of their stars and rebuilt in 4 years Isles went from bottom feeders to ECF in 5 years Carolina rebuilt twice already since we were relevent and on and on.That's how hockey works. If you're not competing for cups, people lose their jobs. Players too. The only players remaining from 2013 are Giroux and Couturier. The only guys remaining from 2018 are Giroux, Couturier, Konecny, Provorov, Laughton, Sanheim, and Lindblom. In 4 years they turned over almost 70% of the roster. You act like they haven't changed the makeup of the players, clearly they have.
Which clearly represents a lack of solid leadership as well as everything else. That's how hockey works. If you're not competing for cups, people lose their jobs. Players too. How many of those 70% have gone on to other teams and have won a cup or have been to a cup or at the very least been deep into the playoffs. Just to name a few Schenn brothers Belmare. How many coaches were let go from our team and have gone on to win or be in cups in the last 10 years. So for me its the 30% and not the 70% or the coaches or the GMs.How can you say the 70% wasn't the problem? If 70% of your team was worthy of cup contention, you'd probably be more than a playoff bubble team. At the very least, they were part of the problem. Even you have to admit that.

Not saying he was or is the root, and he is a high caliber player. He just isn't a leader, just a small part of the problem. However if management in the past and now present aren't going to hold players accountable then you get the same cycle year in and year out. Yandle is a prime example of this, no way he should be playing right now let alone quarter backing a power play in OT! I think we agree the team make up needs to be redone from the ground up.Like you're referencing, the Flyers haven't competed for cups in 10 years for many reasons. The plan failed. It doesn't make any one player or one person in management responsible. They failed. All of them, together. Do better, or get fired. Giroux is clearly on the block this year too, otherwise he would've been signed to an extension. And at the deadline, if they still suck, they'll trade him. That's hockey.
It just blows my mind that people think Giroux is the root of their problems. In a few days he will be 2nd all time in points for the team. Is he blameless? Of course not. But the Flyers did not assemble a team good enough to compete. It doesn't matter if you're Connor McDavid, 1 player does not make a cup contender.
