I cant see us ever paying a GUARD 88 million for 5 years. Thats a lot of money for a IOL. JS doesnt like going over 3 years and undervalues the Oline also.

He is going to get himself fired though if he doesnt open his eyes. Maybe him and Jody talked about this being a "rebuild" year. There is a lot of stuff going on that we dont know.

K well Darnold should be decapitated by prob. November of 2025 or will have required us to pay additional cap on the Ghostbusters. Whatever.

Well we need to get him to identify as a trans male and African American... that should net us a 2nd round pick. I believe Mac understands this.

Sam was top 10 QB last year when he had time in the pocket... When he was pressured, he was bottom 5 in the NFL.... Geno was pressured a lot last year... Our OL was ranked #26 in the NFL... This is going to be interesting... Has failure written all over it with SD..

I have very little hope for next season at this point.

If he is counting on the draft to save the OL, I may start doing chores on sundays

The draft and the players on the roster is what he is counting on. "I believe in our players" "I like our players" "We just need to do a better job of developing our players" "Can't throw money at problems" is JS theme and the coaching staff when asked about the OL line repeat the company line. Guess we shall see. Certainly has adequate draft picks to give it a go. Honestly the players available in FA weren't world beaters and they went for a ton of money but....dang that OL needs to be so much better for the team to compete specially with the new QB but also for the run game to work. Last year was so bad watching this OL get stomped over and over. JS must have custom ordered rose colored glasses when he watches the Seahawks OL go to work. Wonder what McDonald and Kubiak think about the turn of events, I"m thinking something like "OH SHIT".

Oline was ranked 21st in pass blocking, they actually got higher than that but that 7 sack game against Greenbay made them tumble.

Also when you run the ball you help the pass protection but we didnt run the ball. our team was one dimentional and opponents would just pin their ears back and pass rush every play. This made them "right" 90% of the time. seeing as seattle passed 90% of the time.

I was really hoping that JS would have an epiphany and realize that we needed major investments on the OL. So far that doesn't seem to be the case.

Absolutely frustrating. There's still a couple descent ones out there so there's still an 8% chance he makes a signing.
