Surprised to see Ward in the first round in a 12-team league.
Could be a desperate owner that was riding Cousins/Rodgers and streaming the scrub spot starters.

While I wouldn't do it, as I think Cam Ward is a JAG at best, BUT once the main 4 RB's are gone, the top 2-3 receivers are gone..if you don't need a TE.. you either reach hard on a RB or a shot in the dark WR, or go with the only rookie QB virtually guaranteed to start week 1

Not knowing rosters, I certainly would've taken Harvey or Loveland before Ward though.

well I think the spread sheet was specifically only the '24 season, and I assume the 'ranked' opponent was the typical, top 25 ranked team, not a defense metric ranking as no top 5, top 10, top 25 was mentioned.
When talking college football, and someone says 'ranked opponent' it's always assumed to mean a top 25 BCS ranking is being discussed.

Was Clemson ranked in '23?
Yes

I'm just given context that Hampton has looked good against good competition. Just looking if an opponent is ranked or not doesn't always tell the full story

Actually this owner's team is pretty solid. He was the #1 seed in the playoffs last season. He has Hurts and Mayfield (and Minshew). This league there are 2 owners with 4 QB. 8 more with 3 QB. Not sure why?

If they'd rather collect QB instead of skill players... have at it.

I always try to have 3 QB's (never had 4) in dynasty - aside from injury, you simply can't anticipate bye weeks from yr to yr.

Had our 12-team rookie draft last night. Round 1:
1 Jeanty
2 Hampton
3 Hunter
4 Judkins
5 McMillan
6 Henderson
7 Egbuka
8 Warren
9 Johnson
10 Ward
11 Harvey
12 Loveland
My super flex full PPR 12 team league draft: I didn't have a pick round 1.

1) Jeanty
2) Hampton
3) Ward
4) Hunter
5)Henderson
6) McMillian
7) Golden
8) Judkins
9) Egbuka
10) Warren
11) Harvey
12) Loveland

One of the reasons I have Golden over Egbuka (outside of PPR) is that in Egbuka's highlights he basically never made tacklers miss. He's great at getting open and catching the ball, but as soon as a defender's nearby that's the end of the play. Golden seemed to routinely make guys miss.

Egbuka may be a gold-standard chain mover, which is why I like him in PPR, but I expect his home runs will be few and far between. Golden will probably have fewer receptions but he'll have more splash plays.

I have four in D1, but as soon as Dart supplants Russ I'll get down to three. I just hope Russ gets the all-time sacked record first.

I'd be happy with two if they were good enough, but that's not happening any time soon in that league.

I've come around on the usefulness of a 3rd QB for teams in a playoff window, never know when weird stuff or injuries will pop up, let alone bye weeks in week 13/14 nowadays when you could be in a must-win situation.

14 teams, 2 QB's each (generally speaking), 28, and there's only 32 teams. More than 4 of which have crappy QB's

Starting with Murray and Russ and a lame QB draft class wasn't a recipe for success. I made some efforts at trades but ended up keeping my early picks and filling out the rest of my roster, and Dart and Milroe were still sitting there.

I may still make some moves; we'll see.

So Amon St Brown. Not flashy but he has great hands. Get chunks and a chain mover but you won't see him juke two guys and break an 80 yarder

But the Packers drafted Savion Williams too. They seem to load up on WR and then not feature any of them regularly.
We didnt seem happy wth much outside of Watson at WR last yera. Even Reed disappointed with drops. They are hedging and revamped the room. I think Williams will be the gadget guy freeing up Reed to run his route tree

Here is where my 10 man PPR league is currently. I won last year, its first year, and made a big trade.

I traded Lamb and 1.10 for McCaffrey, London, Addison and 2.03

I needed RB help bad because the offseason was not kind to my RBs

I am trying to trade for an OTC pick to grab Milroe to stash

SF league, pick 3.10 is my first pick of the draft.

Still a few decent prospects left to choose from, even with 4 picks yet to go before me:

Ward went #1 overall, Egbuka and Harvey went ahead of Hunter and both Ohio St RBs, other than that, mostly what I'd consider a regular draft so far. The crappy QB prospects are bumped up, RBs not as highly coveted as our leagues

Is the #1 pick untradeable barring a crazy offer?

For example, would you trade 1.1 for Hall, Pearsall or Shakir, ‘26 1st?

Same offer but including 1.5 instead of future 1st.

He's been traded in two leagues I'm in and it required two 2025 firsts plus in both leagues. Same picks oddly enough 1.05 and 1.11.

Hall is worth a mid-ish 1st so I would think Hall, 1st and a WR…is a pretty strong offer but it ultimately comes down to if they like Hall
