Josh Simmons visiting in the next couple of days with the Ravens and Packers. I think if the Pats really do love him they are going to have to trade up for him or bite the bullet at 4.

Just suppose........

Everything seems like it's going to fall into place....

Titans take Wells, Brown pull a minor surprise and take Hunter. Then the Giants do a 180 and take Carter.

Nearly everyone believes that the Patriots would get one of the two blue chippers and now comes the problem for the Jags. It's been pretty much a given that they will take Tyler Warren at 5, but now comes the competition for him. Do they move up a spot or hope that the Patriots draft an OT leave Warren to them. What would be the cost of moving up one spot? Third? Fourth? There are 100 Draft Value points between 4 and 5on the chart. The jags have a bunch of picks in the third and fourth rounds. #70 (240) and 88 (150) and in the fourth #107 (80) and #126 (46). You know that they'll offer both fourths as the first offer along with #5. They won't give up #70 because that's a bit over the top. #88 and #107 would vbe almost as much so I think they'd settle for offering #88 and #126. If the Patriots had no desire for Warren, dropping a spot for those two picks would be a huge bonus. Then they could sit back and wait for someone who thinks that Sanders will be their next QB.

It is nationwide. We go live on Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, and I think Twitch. So yeah come check us out. Our group is primarily focused towards the Broncos, but when it comes to the draft we cover every team and our thoughts on picks and fits. We have a guy on staff that pretty much his entire job is just watching prospects for the draft and writing profiles for about 300 players each year. Our boss even sends at least one of us to the Senior Bowl/Shrine Bowl, Combine, and then we have had in the past someone on the ground at the draft covering things.

If you want to watch just look up Mile High Huddle on any of those sites and you will find us. IF you want to watch my specific show it is called "Building the Broncos". Like I said every Tuesday we are live at 7 pm Central time. We usually interact quite a bit with the chat so just write in saying "Hey Carl this is BigKen and I'll give you a shout out on the show".
Can we troll the show somehow? I could make you famous!

Haha well you can try. We have a producer in the background keeping tabs on the chat just to make sure it stays at least PG-13 at most.

We do seem to get a lot of OnlyFans bots trying to advertise. Or then getting comments from someone saying something like “please send me dick pics”.

Very good read.....
Excellent read............................you have to hate it when something makes a whole lotta sense.

The LT thing seems like a pancake that you just can't get to cook enough to flip over.

There are a million scenarios and the most sensible one seems to be trading out of #4 and dropping as far down as #15 after a second trade.

Potential scenario would be getting Simmons at #15. Then grabbing Zabel at #38. Then with four or fiver picks in the third round snag Eli Cox.

That might put a rookie at LT, LG and C or all three could break in slowly through the season and be the starters for all games going forward from December 14, 2025 through the playoffs.

If we want Simmons, we have to take him a hell of a lot sooner than 15. Too many teams need LT's and he is one of two in 1st round.
Let's not get too fancy here......

Again I feel we shored up the defense in FA with the intent to shore up the offense in the draft. Not sure I want Simmons over some others but I still feel LT should be our first pick, and I still feel we cannot move down past ten if we play the trade picks game.

Vrabel spoke with the Boston media after the voluntary workout. The conversation turned to the draft. Vrabel threw out a hand grenade when asked about OT Will Campbell. "There will be tackles in multiple rounds of the draft." That sent a shock wave into the crowd. Then someone asked him whether or not he would draft Abdul Carter, knowing that he did not have surgery on his injured shoulder and that the recovery time would be at least eight weeks if he did have it after the draft. "I can't predict who will or will not be available when our pick comes up. I won't even begin to start speculating on any player."

Did Vrabel tell us that he wasn't looking to draft Will Campbell?
Did Vrabel tell us that he knows about Carter's shoulder and has made a decision if Carter does fall to #4?

Patriot sources have told several of the media that Vrabel had a meeting with GEO LB at the Combine. Jalen Walker is a Mike Vrabel type clone. Is it possible that the Patriots are looking to trade down, pick up picks and draft outside the box? Then draft a LT in Round 2 or 3?

Gotta love the way that Vrabel is handling all of the BS media.

IMO Walker is the better player anyway. I would not be disappointed at all with Walker

I don't think we learned anything from his presser. He won't show his hand.

They were different players that did similar things. Edelman was too impressive to just dismiss him as a lesser player. He blocked strategically well, was a threat to throw, and played much faster than his speed. Walker also played alongside of Moss. While Edelman had Gronk, top corner backs were on Edelman.

A trade with anyone in the top 10 would pretty much allow the Patriots to go in almost any direction they wanted and still get a potential starter.

A trade with LV wouldn't affect them much at all. Move down to NO at #9 and completely different set of circumstances might be in play. Will Campbell might still be available, though I would hope they wouldn't feel undue pressure to take him. Walker would probably be gone at #9.

The better part would be the Patriots might get #40 and #93 as the package that allows the Saints to jump up 5 spots.

The Draft would take on a scary change if Vrabel lived up to his tackles everywhere comment.

With changes in available players after the first 8, it could change everything.

We have no idea how NE staff views the players available. We are also all biased.
Reviewing your mock above I see the only OT taken in 1sr 2 picks is Conerly - who cannot anchor. I see him moving to Guard
I also see Jalen Milroe taken - presumably as a backup. Joe Milton is a better QB than Milroe IMHO.
Chase Lundt is a RT.
Aironte Ersery looks like depth to me but a player that might become a starter in a few years?

We need a day one starter at LT. Any draft that does not address this is a failure......

And might never agree on anything. My OOTB was not even something I was completely sure about. I took all of the tackles assuming that at least one could fit at LT better than Lowe. Not that "I" think that would be very hard. We have to assume that there is someone on the staff who has some idea of who the best fit would be. Everyone laughs but Jack Nelson WIS has played the position his entire college life. My gut tells me that he could be the answer for the next ten years.

I don't think Milroe makes it that far. He is invited to the draft to sit in the Green Room. The last thing the NFL wants is a guy sitting in that room for 3 days waiting for his name to be called. My guess is Milroe got confirmation from a team and the NFL did as well that someone is interested in him possibly even for round 1. I wouldn't take him that high, but again I can't see the NFL inviting someone with a day 3 grade.
