I have seen Membou in front of Campbell but he's played RT exclusively.
That says a ton from the people who have him ahead of Campbell. A guy who's never played LT is better than a guy who's always played LT? Talk about red flags.

I'm falling behind Southie on Josh Simmons. Make a trade with LV, CAR or NO and maybe even move down again and take Simmons at 14,15 or 16. Then hedge that bet by taking Nelson in the 4th or 5th round.

The Pats have an inside line on Simmons. Can you really see them waiting until 14 if they feel he’s their guy? There are other teams too. Top 3 LTs could be gone by then.

That all depends on who is rating each player or how they are viewing each player. I have seen no one put Simmons ahead of Campbell, I have seen Membou in front of Campbell but he's played RT exclusively.
At 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds, Simmons possesses an NFL-ready frame that is complemented by solid length despite his 33-inch arms being at the lower end of the league-preferred threshold.

Again you read way to much into it. People were impressed with Membou b/c of his combine numbers. When they rank these players they generally rank them as O line or IOL.

I guess they like T to be 6' 6" again not sure that makes a huge difference. I have nothing against Simmons merely pointing out the prognosticators don't view him as highly as they do Campbell, Banks or Membou. I guess in the end that's why teams do their own homework and select the player they feel is the greatest need.

For all we know the Pats may take a position other than LT in the first, I just feel it's their greatest need but I know no more than any other person posting here

I think mostly everyone, if not everyone agrees that LT is the priority.

Once the team completes ALL their evaluations and rack and stack all the players by BPA, by position, by... once it's time to select, depending upon how the board has unfolded is what they use to make that decision.

As mentioned by many of us if Carter is there at 4 can they pass up on him? If he's there I could see them using all their times as I'm sure they'll have plenty of teams calling at that point. Certainly more than if the QBs are still there.

Then they have a huge decision to make. If the trade offers don't wow them, do they take Carter or another player at 4?

As much as DE isn't a need, I couldn't blame them no matter which way they go.

I've said it too many times, I'm not an expert but feel the drop off after Cambell is not that significant in a McDaniels offense. Run, short passes, dump offs... Also with Maye you can run RPO if you want? Get him outside the pocket unlike Brady. So Campbell to me isn't the selection I would go with at 4.

I would not be upset with Carter or Warren then maybe trade up if possible. I agree if we dink and dunk then maybe LT can be a lower priority.

If Carter is there and they don't have an offer that wows them? Does it have to wow them? If they want a tackle then anything they get for Carter that includes getting their tackle is a win. That doesn't mean taking out of the first, but does mean trading back several slots.

There will be good value to be had if Carter is there. Keeping him ain't a bad consolation prize either.

According to ESPN last night and this morning...............................

The Titans have already assured Cam Ward that he will be the #1 pick.
The Browns can't get anyone to take Watson's contract and will have him at QB and will take Abdul Carter.

I've already posted in the News and Rumors what went on in Colorado yesterday...................

If that's the case and no reason to assume it's not no one will be in a hurry to get Sanders does a team need a DT or TE and may be willing to deal some for Graham or Warren. In all honesty there are to many scenarios that can take place anything any of us are throwing our are just ideas or way's we would like to see the draft move,

Personally I have said time and time again LT with our number one pick if we take Campbell at 4 I do not consider it a reach and would be very happy with that

And as you've said before, Everything at this point is pure conjecture. Nothing can or will happen until 4/24 and three picks in front of the Patriots have been made.

I think it would have to wow me. Carter may be the #1 non skill position player by most. Again a very difficult decision. Not a need but damn he could be a generational player.

Until 4/24 it's still the off season and there is nothing else to do but conject and hypothesize.
