Interesting take on staying at #4 or trading down
Excellent read! Who would you take? as #1 pick, whatever pick that would be?Interesting take on staying at #4 or trading down
I don't see us taking Isaiah Winn - I mean Will Campbell.I'll be surprised. If they pass on him and Banks. But again a lot depends on FA moves
Winn really? I think you are off on that.I don't see us taking Isaiah Winn - I mean Will Campbell.
I would not be surprised to see us trade out of the 1st round entirely - to get more help on the line.....
As has been said, maybe a QB needy team will give us their 1st and a lot more?????
Like in too short? Arms too short? Eventually gos to guard?Winn really? I think you are off on that.
I have run mocks where we trade out completely and had decent draft, mostly aimed at additional picks next year. To many selections in one year becomes a cap nightmare down the road. It has to be selections over multiple years.
Until we make what moves we are going to make in FA it's tough to say what picks we make in the draft. If we land a solid DE we can rule out DE. If we land a LT maybe we grab a DE or DTInteresting opinion.

Ranking the 5 best options for Patriots with No. 4 draft pick
What direction should the Patriots go with the No. 4 overall pick?patriotswire.usatoday.com
"If you're a good football player you're a good football player" great line and so true. The combine is what it is a meat processing plant, let me see what you did on film and the level of competition you played, sure then I will see if you can 3 more reps at 325 because that's what's important (Pfft)Great read!

Ranked 15th at tackle, he can be had later than you'd expect.....
- Mammoth frame with plus length, creating a wide blocking radius and giving edge rushers fits
- Stone wall in pass pro, showcasing advanced kick-slide technique and mirror ability
- Heavy hands paired with vise-grip strength, locking onto defenders and controlling the point of attack
- Positional versatility, having lined up at both tackle spots in college
- Impressive anchor, able to absorb bull rushes and maintain pocket integrity
- Processes stunts and blitzes quickly, rarely caught out of position
- Nasty finisher who looks to bury defenders and play through the whistle
- Iron man durability, consistently logging full game snap counts

Hopefully, with Bill O'Brien being the HC at BC, Vrabel won't be so cavalier.
What's not to love about Graham? Personally, I think the DT value is in the 2nd round for this draft. I don't however see a DT I would take before Graham.IF the Patriots score well in free agency and decide to use all of their picks, here is BK's Mock Draft. Of course, one must assume that these guys are not superstars at the Combine and someone doesn't reach earlier.
Round 1 - #4 DL Mason Graham Mich
Round 2 - #38 ED Donavan Ezciruaku BC
Round 3 - #69 LOT Wyatt Milum WV
Round 3 - #77 WR Jalen Royals UT St
Round 4 - #105 C Jarred Wilson GEO
Round 5 - #145 CB Zy Alexander LSU
Round 7 - #222 ROT Chase Lundt UConn
Round 7 - #240 WR Nick Nash San Jose St
I looked at where three different draft niks had people listed in the top 200 draft eligible players and made my decisions based on where I thought these guys would be and who I thought would be taken before them. No matter what any of us think, teams are going to grab guys completely out of the spot that we think they should be and miss on guys we think are much better who won't go until the third day. What's not to love about Graham? Ezciruaku is undersized for NFL and might be a reach at #38
Wyatt Milium is a reach at #69
Will Alexander show speed at the combine? If he does he will rise.....
Lundt looks like Trapilo but I'd rather have Trapilo - who you'd have to get much earlier.

I like Millum. Sometime in the draft a team needs to ask if we need this position filled will the player we covet still be there with our next pick or the one after that. IMO what's called a reach sometime is not really a reach if it fills a team need and the player selected may not be there further down the draft chain. Taking a K in round one is usually a reach, taking an O Line player with a high ceiling in round 2 or 3 is not IMOI looked at where three different draft niks had people listed in the top 200 draft eligible players and made my decisions based on where I thought these guys would be and who I thought would be taken before them. Milium was rated around 65th in two of the three and 59th in the other. The Combine is going to change a lot of the positions for everyone.
