I started skipping games late last season, and looking at how it was going to decide if I wanted to actually go and watch my recording, Never did.

Might end up not watching much at all next season.

I love the Steelers, but I don't need to subject myself to a half-ass product.

Essentially the Steelers and Penguins fell into the Pirates trap. Just a crappy ass product that you can't watch.

I have a feeling that game last night the Penguins had, against the Sharks, will be a microcosm for what the Steelers will be next year. Nothing was remotely entertaining or worth watching.

Small-market team with an owner that doesn't have other business interests.

He's maximizing profitability over winning a championship.

The End.

The last 5 games I gave them the 1st quarter. Usually turned it off about midway through the 2nd when they were down 2 scores. And I skipped the Chiefs game altogether... told my family I wouldn't let them ruin my holiday & put me in a bad mood.

Same. My wife even asked me if I wanted to watch the game. Why bother when I already know what's happening. I look at my phone and see them down two scores in the first half to reinforce I'm making the right decision.

This team just stops trying once they have the winning record locked up. That's the goal, that's all they work towards.

I feel bad for Cam and others, but they keep defending Tomlin and the team effort to the press/public. So even he's part of the problem. I have absolutely no interest in picking another team to root for, I just lose interest in the NFL altogether. Fans have to deny them the eyeballs to make any changes.

Funny I didn't let them bother me this season as I just didn't care. I just enjoyed watching them and making fun of the hot mess all season.

Granted the playoff game I barely watched as I knew what would happen and went about my day. No need to ruin a Saturday watching them. :D

I used to feel bad for him and TJ. But honestly, I wish the "trusted" stars like them would come out and request a trade. Maybe, just maybe someone will wake up and force a change.

Hence why they are falling into the Pirates trap.
Art is doing a better job of this scam with the Steelers though, because he has a coach and a team that can still get a winning season and at least make the playoffs regularly, even if they get embarrassed when they are there.

The Pirates can be a dreadful sack of losers most seasons. Art gets to tell the fans 'at least we're winning more than we're losing.' And keep punking us along thinking they just need to tweak a few things here and there. It keeps people from revolting and leaving the stadiums empty

Exactly! Sadly most don't see this happening, wish more Steeler fans would, but they only see this team winning with the facade they are SB contenders.

I feel ya there. I just lose interest in the NFL. I spend half the year hyping up the upcoming season, just to stop watching on Sundays about halfway through. It's sad. But after being demoralized by seeing your favorite team be so arrogantly obtuse about their own problems ever single year it just makes me numb toward them. Seems like the new standard is every year I gradually just get to the point where I only watch to laugh about how stupid they look doing the same things over & over again.

For the "Arthur Smith is another Matt Canada" crowd...

Main difference is Arthur Smith can cross midfield more and get Boz into position lol.

Ben did bring some logic to this. His comments are at the 5:03 mark.

So I labored through the Art Rooney interview so you guys wouldn't have to...

Long story short, he's disappointed. He strongly believes their inability to find a QB is their problem, not coaching. Nothing to suggest that Tomlin's seat is even lukewarm on the heat scale. lol

And if I'm placing bets on the offseason's 'big changes'... its' at QB. I'm thinking they sign Fields (if nobody gets in a bidding war) then they overdraft the Alabama kid. Looking like they'll be investing into some "development years" at the helm.

Nothing newsworthy... Doubt anyone cared to read/listen to the interview.

We know nothings really changing. Same theme of being blatantly obtuse.
