well sure.....but they did not have Doc Brown's Delorean at time of draft.

I saw enough of him at Louisville to think he was being slept on. He was always a far better passer than people want to give him credit for.

Cook day 2? Wow, that would be a shock IMO. He seems like a late day 3 guy.

I think Cook is either rd5 or UDFA. His accuracy was abysmal last year but he was also hurt last year. The guy on tape last year isnt draftable but if it was just a product of being injured than that changes things a lot.

OK....but many who do this for a living and watch a lot more than you with a lot more info disagreed.....including the team who ended up taking him. If they agreed doubtful they take a TE over him.

You’re also the guy who says these people who do this for a living can’t be trusted either. Over the years of reading your posts about the draft it seems like you just don’t like anyone offering opinions on players or the draft.

I love the predraft convos.....Really only push back on fans who think they know because, yes, even the experts miss on QBs.....a lot. Like LJ's own team kind of did. I mean, they got him, but know way they knew what he'd become. Likely didn't think he'd be close.

sorry but I find it comical fans see a QB play maybe a few games but think they "know" anything. And I can also promise fans lie a lot. many now saying they knew Allen would be a star (or LJ) who at time of draft were skeptical at best.

Never really imply experts cannot be trusted.....only point out the many misses from them to show how absurd it is fans with so little info think they know.

If you can get him later than expected because everyone is slow to recognize shifts in how the NFL QB position can be played, that's enormous value.

Do they agree TODAY? Of course.

Let me see if I have this straight.....you think Bmore had a good idea LJ could be a 2 time MVP and in middle of round 1 said "no way anyone else sees what we see. We can wait it out. Let's go with the TE for now."?

Ya gotta love this forum.

Never said that. There's no way of knowing about the 2 time MVP stuff for sure. But if the league seems down on your QB target but not your TE target? Certainly risky, but it worked out nicely.

I'm not claiming to have any validity for liking Lamar as a prospect or extending that to mean any other guy I like should be similarly rated. I just happened to think he should go earlier, and in this case he should have. This singular opinion was validated.

The mock drafts are fun, but they really reinforce the group think about prospects. I remember loving Aaron Donald and hoping the Rams would take him in the 2nd where he was projected. He won virtually every reward for his position that year but was undervalued because he supposedly wasn't big enough. They traded back up at took him at 13, surprising me (but was still very happy lol).

Yeah it worked out fine.....but even while didn't see 2 MVP likely didn't even have much confidence he'd be a top tier guy or knowing they would need a QB soon they don't pass to take a TE IMO. did look really good in the handful of games I saw him play.

Cannot say I knew much about Donald, but I tend to like those who were highly productive on top tier teams (against top tier teams). Like if the Browns wanted to grab, say, Cody Simon (or someone like him) in an early mid round it wont bother me at all.
