Hard to believe anything we hear, really. But if we loved the guy and offered a 3rd to move up and make sure we got him it wouldn't bother me at all.
Yeah it most likely would take more than a 3rd but I agree with your point. But then again he could just fall to 2 regardless. We've seen it in past years...all this smoke and the guy drops.
I think only takes more than a 3rd if they have more offers.....even then might not take more as to trade with us they still get the guy they'd have taken at 1. Also, our 3rd is nearly a late 2nd.
They do need a QB badly but maybe second guessing themselves or are not sold on him...who really knows but I am sure if a team offered a great package it would be enticing. Would they turn down an extra 1st and 3/4th for a team like the Giants or Browns to move up a spot or two? It depends if they think he is a potential top 10 QB in this league. They still get Carter or Hunter in that trade too.
What the Browns do will be very interesting - if the Browns pass on Shedeur I wonder where he goes, because I don’t think the G-Men take him now that they’ve signed Russ, does another team trade up and take Shedeur, or does he fall to say the Jets at pick 7?
Honestly, if he falls past the Browns he should fall a lot. No one needs a cheap QB more than the Browns. I'd say Steelers.

Qbs slide all the time. Bridgewater, Fields, Haskins, Lamar, Manziel. I do think Sanders is rd1. I also think #2 overall is in play
That makes sense and if he goes 3 have to wonder why Browns didn't take him.....not that they need to think the same as another about him. But they better either have a QB of their own or hope Sanders does not become a stud or it will be time for a new FO.
Previous regimes (pretty much any going back to mid 80s) I'd have agreed with that first comment. Still like this regime, though....but if they don't find a QB soon will be looking for a new GM.
They can also find a bridge QB for one year + draft a QB in the mid-rounds if they think the 2026 QB draft is better. If they hate this QB class, you have little risk/high reward taking a guy in the 3rd or 4th round.
Think of latter 2 I prefer Wentz. At least a chance to turn the guy around and get a longer term solution. Flacco would seem to be 1 year at best.
agree......and not like having 1 all world DE means success as among Myles, Watt and Parsons they have 1 playoff win combined so not sure need 1.
