I’d be concerned that Meyers got such a huge break with Curry’s injury his second season. Without that they never could have got KD and of course we know that trade is now not allowed. Something about the dude to me, but I know he is good. The Wiseman thing is always going to be there though.

Yeah, good point. We'll just get Sam Presti instead. Walter money baby!

Maybe. But luck is part of building championship caliber teams.

Whether it's the right player being available at the right time, having a #1 pick when there's a generational talent available, heck...just keeping a title contending core together and healthy for a few years involves luck.

Even an injury can be lucky if it results in a #1 pick when there is a generational talent coming out.

I don't know as they will get Meyers necessarily, but if Walter does what he has done with the Dodgers...he'll hire who needs to for a high level FO and Lakers fans will be happy.

Needs a hard cap too but it won’t happen…at least for a long time

needs a floor of about 200m far more.

should not be so profitable to not even try.

Buss family was always going to cash out. To many owners- too many people jealous of positions. Not much cash outside of the business (relatively).

Beside the Lakers- I wonder how many professional franchises would command a 10B sale price. Yankees, Cowboys would prob go for substantially more. Knicks would be up there but prob around the same maybe a little less.

You are not a basketball fan if you don’t want to see teams built like this. It’s been something to see.
Ton of credit to OKC and no doubt Indy deserves their props......but in last 2 seasons Indy has faced 3 teams in playoffs who were not depleted of a star or stars for a game, games or even the series. Looks like they will lose 2 of them (and ironically in the losses lost their own star).

Yeah I’m not hearing it if Haliburton doesn’t play. He has pretty much been effectively neutralized in the whole series. Siakam is the guy. Far from over.

wasn't really my point of the comments (was more Indy injury luck for selves and opponent) AND what I said was 100% factually correct.
does OKC win if Haliburton perfectly healthy? Likely.

The ownership stakes were not set to transfer to their children if anyone passed. The stake would just be split evenly among the surviving owners, so it was definitely going to be sold as some point.

Yankees and Cowboys would be bigger packages, as they have ownership of their stadiums. Celtics was the most recent previous at 6B.
