I think Draper has a good shot as a Darkhorse.
Possibly Alcaraz Vs Sinner but that may not happen. Novak is a big IF. Many ifs associated with an aging body and volatile mind.

Fonseca is a good bet to reach third or fourth round but his mental game may not have matured enough yet to actually get to semis or final. His ball striking is clean and his game flows naturally.

Nice to see Monfils get a win and have an exciting match in front of the French Crowd. He came back from down 0 - 2 sets.

Good way for Monfils to go out to a great player. His movement looked like that of an aging and slow player. I think he is 38 and still pushing the limits of his physical capabilities. It’s close to his own time of retirement.

Alcaraz’s game is there to win the whole thing but he has lapses of concentration and focus sometimes that can spell doom for him especially in quarters or semis against a more dangerous opponent than Dzhumur.

How do you turn JMac off? He is simply unbearable!! There should be an option to switch commentators in the future.

Only clay event I will watch more than just the finals.

The Frenchy is tough to watch still even though it is a major.

People keep ordering the Seafood Plate. It must make a lot of people throw up because they keep calling for the Mercy Buckets too.

Yes. I have to get up and do things around the house like it’s a cricket match sometimes to get to the end of the buildup for a close last set. Clay tennis is hard to watch.

Right now Fonseca is not living up to the billing of the popcorn match status against. Draper

Fonseca went down tamely in straight sets. His mental game will need to develop a lot more to handle hyped and pressure matches like this one.

Doubles on clay isnt too bad. The ball hardly hits the ground anyway.

Wondering if Cam Norrie will be able to topple the Djoker. Djoker like many other GS champions is a momentum player and he has gained quite a lot of momentum by winning the 250 event and winning three matches here at the FO. Djoker’s play form is very good at the moment but it remains to be seen if his body will hold up and back up his game.

Cam Norrie going down tamely in straight sets. This is good for Djoker because less the energy spent the better off his chances against next round
Opponent and he will really need it in the QF

I will both agree and disagree.

On one hand, a set is never over. You can be up two breaks, and the trailing player can still come back and win a set.

Compare that to grass. I've never seen a comeback from down two breaks.

And honestly, if someone gets a break and is up 2-0, the set is 97% over. Might as well get up and do things around the house then too. It's kind of boring when someone gets a break in the first game or two on grass because the trailing player rarely comes back to tie the set.

So I prefer hard courts and clay sometimes, because I know a set is never over. There are enough comebacks from down 1 or 2 breaks.

I like comebacks from down 4-0, 5-1, or 5-2. I've only seen those on clay or hard courts.

BUT, due to the length of a clay match, I rarely watch two full matches in a day, including womens matches. It's the least likely major where I watch two full matches in a day.

I tend to like the AO the best. It has the best combination of competitiveness and pace. There's enough comebacks where I'm never sure what's going to happen.

For all majors, I browse through matches a lot. Usually don't watch much live, so I can save time that way. If it's competitive, or a SF or Final, then I'll try to watch full matches.

It probably will develop. He's only 18.

That I agree. I like doubles the most on clay.

I do also like big servers on clay with those high bounces. Those people that can do the kick serve.

I like seeing slice serves the most on grass. For the pronounced spin effect.

I believe he's on TruTV more often then TNT.

So the best bet seems to hope that the match is on TNT.

I do think he's on less often then he was on ESPN.

Patrick McEnroe annoys me a lot more than John.

Overall I think TNT / TruTV have done a good job with the coverage. They have a mix of broadcasters formerly from Tennis Channel, ESPN, and TNT.

I think they might be using a little better cameras than Tennis Channel did.
