Not a bad deal, IMO.

Cap went up. He hasn't declined. Still playing well. Not elite, but solid. About what he should get.

We basically re-sign every FA I wanted back in Denver this offseason. A good sign things are much better for us. Typically that doesn't happen with poor teams. It use to happen for us but not lately. Now it is happening again.

Lots of big moves in the last 12 hours.

I am sure people are following so won't list them all.

DK Metcalf to the Steelers at 30 m a year is interesting.
Davante Adams gets a nice 2 year deal for the Rams

We stayed away from Diva WR's at least.

DJ Jones got 26 mil guaranteed.

DT is always a position I like to lock up and not be forced to draft. A position that is hard to typically find value in drafting.

Roach and DJ Jones both solid vs the run.

Bolton was the guy I REALLY wanted this off-season. I thought KC may be a little tight on money to re-sign him but also knew he would like to return to KC if at all possible. I don't think Sherwood fit as well.

If the cap was set at what it is this year, last year... Josey Jewell would still be a Bronco. Or of course if Russ Wilson's cap hit wasn't so bad last year.

TE Evan Engram is in Denver right now, visiting with Dever.

Engram would be a nice pass catching addition and not force us to have to draft TE early but at the same time still very possible we would.

If we sign him I would still prefer a TE in the draft as he hasn't been the most reliable TE with consistent play and injuries but he is a very nice addition to add given our current TE situation.

Engram had 114 catches in 2023 and 47 in 2024, 73 in 2022, 46 in 2021.

Injuries and inconsistent QB play (this year not having Lawrence around much, factoring into those lower catch seasons.
