What about Cade Klubnik from Clemson in like the 4th or 5th round as a back-up for a season that also gets a shot to play depending on how he looks in the preseason? I dont think he would be there for us when we pick in the 5th but he might be. He went 10-3 this past season with 33TD and only 5 INT's in 443 attempts.

This kid has some of those special traits and should be there late enough to take a chance on. He has improved every year and looks to be a person that should continue to improve. He is a gamer and knows how to win.

I would be Happy picking up this kid. Sure he is 6 foot 2 and only 210-215 pounds but plays bigger. I like his eyes when he drops back, he looks off defenders a lot. My real guess is he goes some time late 3rd early 4th round.

Sure this is just a highlight reel so thats all you see but it's a fun watch. His QBR wasnt to bad also.

11 games over 64+ QBR ( 63+ Starter level )
8 games over 70+ QBR ( 70+ Probowl level )
6 games over 89+ QBR ( 85+ Superstar level )
4 games over 90+ QBR ( 90+ HoF Lavel )
season QBR 78.9

then again he could stay for another year and get the chance to be a 1st rounder if he improves even more on this past season.

Meh was just a thought.

I'm all in in drafting OL before making it a priority in getting a QB right now... I don't see how we'd give a younge QB a fighting chance to learn correctly behind this OL.... I'd prefer moving down with our first pick - assuming it ends up at 18... Crazy how so many Mock Drafts i've seen don't even have the Seahawks drafting an OL in the first 3 rounds... It's obvious they don't have a clue what the Hawks need when that is the case... If we could trade down into the mid twenties, i think we'd have a shot at 2 o 3 solid options at the OG position... If we could pick up a 4th rounder with a trade down, then I'd love that... Then we could pick up a starting OL option with one of our 1st or 2nd rounder and use our 4th rounder to grab a QB...

I'd like to draft along these lines (depends on who's available at the time)

1st Rounder - trade down into the mid twenties
2nd Rounder - LB/DB
3rd Rounder - WR/LB/DB (Lockett is getting long in the tooth)
4th Rounder - via trading down in the 1st... Focus on QB option here...
6th Rounder - DL
6th Rounder - WR/OG
7th Rounder - DB

Also, I'll be shocked if DK isn't traded in the offseason... We'd probably get nothing less than a 2nd rounder... If that is the case, we'd have another option in the 2nd round without us needing to trade down in the 1st to grab a OL... We could focus on LB/DB at that spot and OG in the 2nd...

I agree drafting a QB this year should not be a priority. Trading down is right up JS alley so won't surprise me, has trading down ever worked out for the Seahawks? Nothing less then a second round for Metcalf? Last year in an expiring contract that pays him 31 million in 2025, has been beat up, down year, not getting younger and the draft as usual loaded with WRs. Sounds more like wishful thinking. Think this is strictly BPA draft and ignore the needs in a draft that is lacking in the area's Seahawks need help. Won't be against trading 2025 picks for 2026 picks but likely isn't possible.

Its between OL and a NT in round one for me, and as it stands right now there are two NTs that might be there and not a single G worth taking round one.
OL should be addressed in FA.

I agree with addressing OL in FA but not like how JS has been doing it. No more bottom of the heap type guys. So tired of these vet minimum deals for crappy Olinemen.

Agree they need to make a big time signing, like trey smith from the chiefs. They already have three 80m linemen so its unlikely they can keep him.
