I like this guy because he tends to go through his read more. I ALWAYS watch the QB's head/eyes as best as i can. Shows me their mental development in reading defenses.
He'd be a guy I'd take in the third round. Saw a couple mocks Rams taking him 3rd round so for me it's Gabriel or Dart. We need a QBoF and this would be a good spot to take one.

They wont strike 3rd round QB gold again, they should be stacking draft capital for 2026. That means trading down and possibly trading someone like metcalf for future picks.

This might be the draft that can happen. While everybody is falling over each other for Sanders/Ward, the better QBs might actually be the ones sitting in the third round. If a couple mocks have the Rams taking Dart in the third round than there's something there to look and give serious consideration cause that FO knows how to draft and quick rebuild.

Plus if Geno's back, Seattle won't be anywhere near the top of the 26' draft so we're only wasting time finding a QBoF when one could be selected in this draft early mid round.

We could have murphy and carter plus the 2nd we gave away for williams.
I’m not sure why you keep bringing it up. I am 100% convinced we would not have taken Murphy if we had drafted Carter

we traded for williams and took murphy. if we drafted carter, we dont trade for williams and still need another DT.
lets say we didnt take murphy, we could have had jared verse. point is, taking witherspoon was a mistake taking carter would have opened up better possibilities.
but schneider prefers building the team outside in.

The player they wanted was Will Anderson who would of been great, Witherspoon was plan B. Carter had to many red flags. Most everyone here was on board with taking Murphy at the time he was drafted and no one was pounding the table for Verse although I do remember someone being hot for Latu claiming he was going to be best of the litter. The Seahawks picks were fine, better then many drafts they have done. People just like to complain.

I wanted carter bigly and he made the most sense at the time and its painfully obvious at this point they should have taken him. He dominated yesterday and made the play of the game sacking stafford on 3rd down forcing them into 4th and long.
Until schneider is fired ill never let it go, terrible terrible GM.
We can fawn over a few good players in the past couple of drafts but it wont make up for the slew of bad picks and trades he oversaw

Carter was too big a risk for a rebuilding team. He had too many red flags. I have my own complaints about JS but his last few drafts been fine. The DL is at least decent and likely improves, the problem area is OL and they need to find a QB of the future somehow. Oh and they need to land a OC at a time when the talent pool for OC is really thin. Somehow the Seahawk needs seem to always lineup with a thin talent pool-OL, QB and OC.

How many corners has Schneider drafted in the first 3 rounds of the draft?

All your hypotheticals also leave a hole at the corner position.

The washington corner that i mentioned was there in the 2nd. They had options by no means did they need to take a corner at 5 overall

Well sure. We've been over countless time. I wanted them to take Carter. But I also understand why they may have been concerned with the red flags around him.

Once they took Carter off the board then taking Witherspoon makes sense. There were no other defensive players they could have taken that I think would have been better options. Breese and Murphy would have been pretty huge reaches.

FTR, the Commanders took corners in that draft. The first one they took isn't even on the team anymore.

Witherspoon has been a Pro Bowl level player.

Its not about whether or not witherspoon is a good player, its about HOW schneider has decided to build the team by taking outside positions first and putting off building the lines.
Its why i dont think they will address OL and will end up taking a S or TE in round 1. Schneider isnt going to change his stripes.

Again, the evidence doesn't support what you are claiming.

Schneider has taken 2 corners in the first 3 rounds in 15 years, and only 1 in the 1st. They have taken 3 safeties in the first 3 rounds, and only 1 in the 1st round. Hey's taken 1 TE in the first 3 rounds, and that was a 3rd rounder.

Now they have taken a lot of RBs and WRs. But I honestly think that was mostly due to Pete always wanting a strong running game.

Obviously Schneider's issues when it comes to the interior offensive line are a problem that he has to address. IMO, I will be absolutely SHOCKED if he doesn't address it this off-season.

there are two TEs and a S that will go round 1, i wont be surprised if they pick one of them.
will they pass on those guys to take a player that is lower rated at a position of need that they dont value? i seriously doubt that, it would shock me.

I will be absolutely shocked if Schneider doesn't do several things to address the OL.

Yeah he will, but will they work? Thats the big problem now isnt it. Since 2010 they have drafted 23 Oline and Dline within the FIRST 3 ROUNDS. almost all have been busts.

I know MrS wants more picks on the Oline/Dline but if they had used MORE early round picks on Oline and Dline we wouldnt have a team at all.

They weren't all busts. Cross and Lucas aren't busts. Okung wasn't a bust. Carpenter wasn't a bust. Damien Lewis wasn't.

A big part of the problem is that Schneider has not been willing to KEEP linemen. Lewis would have helped a ton this season. Ethan Pocic seems to be doing reasonably well in Cleveland. Offensive lines need stability and we haven't had any.

Im just saying it's not like they HAVENT spent capital on the lines. Only have landed a few keepers when you are talking about 1-3rd rounders though when you talk about the number of picks. Was pointing out that they needed to draft other positions also as they have spent a lot trying to make the lines better. You cant ignore LB, CB, S, RB, WR, TE.

im sure they will, they did last year too. none of it worked out though and thats what i expect more of.
schneider clearly values S more than he does OL
