My guess is that Aiyuk was praying that the Jets or Giants or even Buffalo would stick their noses in the soup.

Now that the Patriots have shut the door, the Browns are not going to give the 49ers the payday that they were looking for and Aiyuk is not going to get the Tyreek Hill deal ($30M) that he was looking for.

Aiyuk just might be a 49ers in 2024.

I’ve been hearing it’s Pittsburgh or Cleveland. Which would be ideal for the 49ers to have 2 teams in the same division fighting over the same guy. 49ers might get more than anticipated.

Twice. Once, stuck in a lake effect snowstorm. Twice, in one of the worse traffic jams ever, trying to get some work done.

Why am I not enthused about this?

A couple of theories on my lack excitement:
1) A QB cannot throw from his back. If a QB, whether Rookie Drake or Vet Brissett is constantly scrambling the team is not going far.
2) If a "Star" WR is demanding a trade and getting his way, he's a malcontent. A potential locker room cancer. Don't want him with a good O Line.
3) Combine a malcontent WR with a bad O Line and it just seems a recipe for disaster that the Pats end up trading him away next year for a loss.

Just no.

I'd rather see Gilmore on defense, but that's a different story.

Ha's a head case evidently. Good luck with him wherever he ends up.

Patriots cut 14 players from the 90 man roster leaving a total of 76.
23 more players must be cut by 4:00 PM today.

Rumors are starting to swirl.

Trades are being talked about between teams for real. Chiefs are signing cut players as quickly as possible. NFL is looking into a report that the Chiefs and JuJu had an agreement in place before he was cut by the Patriots. Chiefs could lose their 2025 first round pick if true.

Supposedly, not confirmed, Patriots are talking to the Packers and 49ers about OL that could be traded rather than cut by both teams. Talking future 6th or 7th round draft picks (2026, 2027)

Agree. Also, is it really that important? Let it play out, expectations are low so there is no need to put so many new players under so much pressure. Let it roll and see what happens. NFL “experts” had the Pats at picking #1 in next year’s draft. Screw that. Just play and win more games than last year.
