For sure...for one thing they needed him off the books to make that work. He just wanted to start new somewhere and to be honest he has a better chance of a title (team that just made the finals) with his new team. Probably why he didn't go to the Lakers.

These players, they know better than anyone which teams feel and look like real contenders. Pretty sure Steph and Dray and Klay know, and I think Klay knew he'd have a better shot elsewhere and a clean slate.

Read an article today that said he didn't go to the Lakers because it would be too much like staying with Warriors in that he'd still be in a "fishbowl".

Strikes me as a guy who will have an 8-10 year career overseas....

I agree.

He is an interesting one though.

With his background and shooting ability?

I could also see him doing just enough to keep a fringe roster spot for a few years.

You know his basketball IQ is off the charts. And I think teams can possibly use a guy like Buddy to be the back ups back up when injuries hit hard.

Not a bad thing to have guys who can step in and give spot minutes without any reps in practice.

Maybe.

Reminds me a lot of Coby Karl actually. He was a fringe player.

The Lakers have lost their minds if they go forward with any of the trades described in this article except for maybe DeRozan who is leaning toward Miami. Basically they would be gutting their team to get a couple of other players who are not going to significantly improve the team. Just nuts and Pelinka has lost it.

Once again, alot of these proposed trades are basically gutting the Lakers and their future draft capital just to make trades and the players coming to the Lakers are not good fits like Kyle Kuzma who is a worse three-pointer than DRuss.

At present, the Lakers once again seem to be entrenched in some sort of trade frenzy with the end result being a team that will be worse than the one they have right now. BTW, Prince is also gone to Milwaukee as we discovered yesterday.

among non Cavs you have 2 of my favs...Bird and Hakeem.

The Dream's record of 3,800+ blocks my never be broken. Wemby's the only one with the shot blocking ability to catch him.

And Bird. Would love to see him in today's game with the shorter 3-point line and much less physical.

The rule changes in particular make it harder

Especially the anti post play rules

Wow

I have them 5th in the East right now

But thjd would put them up with Philly and ny battling for 2/3

And j could see them winning the 1 in the regular season
It would be a great fit and we aren’t worried about the off the court. It was much worse with Watson lol. Been there, done that

You already did watson

It’s also with lac

Once you commit to one, two isn’t the deal breaker

You’ve already stepped in it up to your knees

I know they’re different but most don’t care about the details, most don’t even know them

Don’t get me wrong. This would be my last option. They need a wing but always more of a risk
