Kyrie comes closest, probably worse at dunks but better handles and creativity around the basket

My thinking too.

Not nearly as explosive as AI was.

But his skill set makes up for it.

Kyrie also a much better shooter and probably a more skilled finisher

I’m going to tilt the crazy factor to Irving, but it may not be much because a lot of it is calculated.

It depends on how high you rank longevity I guess. I would take the best version of Barkley over the best version of Malone easy.

Also I don't care for your list! I have now escalated the situation.

Your take on Karl Malone is very interesting.

I have never honestly given him any level of deep thought.

But you might be on to something.

Malone was a solid defender. He was really good at those little reach in blocks when the shooter was on the way up. And he was obviously a terrific rebounder.

But if we were to evaluate him the way we evaluate big men today?

I think you might be right.

Scorer. Solid defender.

Not an all around contributer like Duncan or KG.

I do have to give him credit for adding the 15 foot baseline jumper later in his career. That did add a lot to his game. That was automatic for him.

I agree.

He was very skilled. Especially later on.
