Just bc he has a podcast doesn’t mean Bill Simmons knows as much as the next guy. Why would CLE make this trade?

If you don't think Garland and Mitchell can coexist long term, I think it's a pretty nice deal. I'd probably take Cam over Okoro. Probably an upgrade over Strus too. Also, those PHX picks could be really valuable. I feel like that could be an implosion happening very soon.

Wild Turkey said it was an overpay and I said yep.

Sure, in your opinion, but if this hypothetical scenario did happen, I'd say that's a pretty good return on an asset.

Dude.

That is a bad trade for Brooklyn.
Dude.

I can’t argue that but this entire time you are ONLY seeing one side of it. Not a good trade for Cleveland. What exactly does future picks do for a team in win now mode? Plus the “picks are valuable” discussion is a big question mark. We don’t know what their roster will look like in 2027

Agree, he is pretty much saying he is wrong without knowing it but Cleveland still does not make that trade imo.

It is probably not a good trade for either team in all honesty.

But value wise Brooklyn way overpaying.

The problem is both teams are in the same basic position. So they make very poor trade partners.

Nets should probably just trade bridges to get their picks back and reload with their shitty picks and phoenix’s

Plus they can get at least one first each for cam and dfs

They should definitely do that.

I don’t think they have enough picks to do what they need to do

Unless they could get Donovan Mitchell…then maybe

Where do you see Isaiah Collier?

At the beginning of the season, folks were saying he's a lottery pick and at least a couple said he could go #1. But dude has been something of a disappointment and has not looked NBA ready to me.

He did a little better late in the season, but still looked like 2nd round at best to me.

Collier is supposedly tanking in workouts

He could be the guy who falls on draft night

But he did just have a workout with the heat

The only workout that was acknowledged publicly

I like that fit as he needs structure after that dumpster fire last year

But 15 seems high for him right now

Holland is in a similar boat.

Holland is a guy who doesn’t strike me as working out well since a lot of his strengths don’t show up in one on one ball

Get him the right shooting coach and take the gamble as chi or Utah imo

If he's somehow still there at 17 and the Lakers aren't trading the pick, they better take him IMO. He might be the target behind all these trade up rumors. I hope they're not moving up for Edey. Taking him at 17 is one thing, using extra trade capital to move up to get him would be ill advised IMO. I prefer Holmes, Ware or Misi (and obviously Sarr and Clinghan, but I doubt they move up that far lol). Tyler Smith is interesting, but more of an early 2nd round target.

Yeah that one could age poorly.
was thinking the same....did he have his first down season since his rookie year? For sure....but possible this year was the anomaly and he's the player he was the 2-3 years prior to this one. Also still only 24 with a few more years before he hits his prime.
